There's no excellence in this article. I'm 60yras and I've lived greater part of my life in abroad and I can state unequivocally that kids in abroad are very respectful to their elders. Under no circumstances should we as Ghanaians countenance rudeness, disrespectfulness and violence. Can any professional prayer be disrespectful and violent towards a coach. The answer is a big NO. But in Ghana we tolerate everything based our political and tribal leanings. There's no nationalistic loyalty, our loyalty lies with our tribes. Or action we undertake is to promote our tribe and any political party affiliated with our tribe. And we have allowed our political affiliations to carve a line between us and have successfully reduced us to insults. Meanwhile all these politicians are always laughing to the banks. All we do is to jump on any one with a dissenting voice. We are not tolerable at all. Just read or listen to our media, they are extremely biased and myopic. They feed us with junks and misinformation and we unfortunately react to that. We have become racist to the detriment of Ghana and the only beneficialies are the politicians

A VERY EXCELLENT ARTICLE. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT AND HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. MR. ARMAH WAS NO COACH AND HAD NO BUSINESS BEING THERE. HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN AND IS THE CEO OF A TEAM IN GHANA BUT HIS TEAM WAS NOT PLAYING. PROBABLY WAS THERE ON A TAX PAYERS TICKET WHEN HE COULD HAVE PAID HIS OWN WAY THERE. CORRUPT PRACTICES BECAUSE TOO MANY PEOPLE KNOW TOO MANY PEOPLE IN HIGHER PLACES. MR. ARMAH SHOULD HAVE ALSO RESPECTED HIMSELF AS AN ADULT AND REMOVED HIMSELF FROM THE SITUATION INSTEAD OF ATING ALL BAD AND TOUGH. THE OLDER FOLKS ALSO NEED TO RESPECT THE YOUTH AS RESPECT BEGETS RESPECT. MAYBE YOU CAN SPEAK FOR THE KIDS IN CANADA AND NO GENERALIZATION.

it would have been great if sulley had held his grounds, but being a witness to the corrupt nature of our leaders, it gets very hard, I am a huge sulley fan, I wish he did not fight, but the question the needs answered truthfully is, all these 'officials' on Ghana's tickets, what role were there playing, I wish someone will have the guts to reclaim every penny on anyone whose presence in brazil was not justified, this is the kind of leadership we need.

And by the way, which player displayed a violent attitude towards a Coach? Do you take this Moses Armah who was ready to fight a player, and boasted that he's more of a 'ganster than Sulley' to be a Coach? You mean Sulley or any of the players had no right to question the presence of so many 'non essential' GFA officials in their camp?
Well, like you, I've also lived a greater part of my adult life in Europe and know that children brought up in Europe don't just swallow every dirt thrown at them just because it comes from an older person. They are brought up not to be timid but be free to speak their mind.

The article is an excellent one. I dont believe you when you say childeren in toronto are respectful. I live in the US and the culture is no different from Canada. The children of today are awful and it will only get worse for each generation. Sulley has played in all levels of the ghana teams and has seen and experienced a lot from the gfa officials. He knows what he was fighting for. To fight is not a sin, its what brought about the fight that must be looked into. Armah had not business there under tax payer's money. If they couldnt pay their appearance fees, then why all these non essentials being taken care of by money we dont have. A man can only take so much and accept nonsense to a level after which he must deal with it in a different way. I saw the picture of Moses. he is not an old man. he is very much a young guy and sulley of he will use his real age, u will know is close to Moses' age making him his co-equal. tweaaa.

Why are we talking about respect when the young stand up to fight cheating? Don't get me annoyed. Appiah was overwhelmed by the way these guys dress, the way expressed themselves in public and how these guys lived . Coach Appiah felt intimidated by presence of these guys .He felt very timid by the sight of them. His only choice was to get rid of them very quickly .He did not care bout the country but his own ambition.

I smell hypocrisy in the behavior of some of the players of Black Stars for not coming out to air their views on what went wrong in the camp of the team while in Brazil. If they don't come out and say something, I will assume Sulley was and is still right in his action against Mr. Armah (Anyway, I believe he is right). What at all as a club owner, did Mr. Armah contribute to propel the national team to success while in Brazil . Let us watch him in this coming premier league season in Ghana for corruption. He definitely has some back bone somewhere in the office of GFA, FA or the coach (Dr. Appiah)

Chapeau à vous, mon vieux! A great article, if only the Commission and GFA will be listening. I have always said, there is a cultural shock for the palyers born outside Ghana and those born in Ghana but playing particularly in Western Europe, when on duty for Ghana -- poor kids. I have also maintained the BStars is full of great talent and all it needs is a great coach and real technical staff to guide the team at training and at matches. The poor state of affairs in Brazil shows that the GFA and the coaching situation need to be revamped for the bestthe best interes of the team and Ghana. The BStars because of their previous high quality of play in 2 World Cups have developed a lot of following in Africa and the world over. Therefore, when they arrive on the pitch, they should never forget that a lot is on the line for their reputation. They are not playing in some bush league where one official controls and decides everything. It appears the current GFA and the coaching staff cannot understand this. They are just tone death. For the good of BStars soccer, the government needs to act quickly because time is not on the side of the BStars before the next competition in September. Cleaning house is what needs to be done, without pity! The way things are now, only a miracle can save the team from furthr humiliation and disgrace. It does not have to come to this, because the BStars are better than that and do merit a better administration than what is in place at the moment.

Eddi, you've got to understand that it does not matter what John Mahama does, be it what they want or not, they will still give negative remarks just to denote they are more qualified to rule Ghana. Imagine the GOPers, going against anything Obama tries to do from the OBAMACARE to the $10.10 minimu wage. They know we need the Obamacare and the raise, but they still oppose it, and they look forward to going wars, because that it is how they make billions out of their fellow taxpayers money to encrich only themselves and their families to the detriment of the rest of the citizens . I understand it is hard, and John must correct things to improve the situation at home.

Please, do yourself a big favor by disabusing your mind that anything foreign/western/white is superior.By the way, being born in USA, Europe etc is not a recipe for indiscipline. Some of us have been in USA etc longer and see how much indiscipline is affecting their moral decadence & progress. I believe you employed some degree of personal discipline to get to where you are at now. If you have nothing to do, don't do it here
