I do not believe our so-called celebrated sports journalist is even aware of the fact that the French govt instituted a probe,similar to what the Youth & Sports Minister has embarked on,and did what it felt it had to do, to address the 2010 WC disaster the french national team encountered in South Africa! Did anybody hear about any FIFA sanctions then,and did anybody witness the complete turn-around,in performance, the french team showcased a few weeks ago in the just ended 2014 Brazil WC tournament? And you describe this "kokoase" sports writer a "celebrated" figure? Whoever posted this story, does not appear to appreciate the importance of the the word celebrated!

I have read this reporter before on the IOC and National Athletics. He seems to have his own ideas about these things.

GFA is subjected to the laws of Ghana. The President has wider and bigger responsibilities that include Sport. Football is only one of the many sports in Ghana with the GFA as the lead Association.

If the government wants to set up a Commission to investigate how the sport is organized and played in Ghana in order to develop a policy, they are on the right lines to do so. It is order not to make policy in the dark but with relevant and researched facts.

GFA does not own a single stadium or playing field in Ghana. Football can only advance in the county when all the stakeholders, government, GFA and leagues are working in co-operation This is the way it works in other countries.

Nyantakyi and Appiah have done well since they took over when you consider the resources and type of players they have at their disposal. Some of the complainants are either tribalist, doest no understand the game , emotional and very hungry for the cup so they do not take all factors into consideration. Was the performance better when they took over? Is America the same as previous years when we met them in the world cup. Are these players better than the previous ones.Did we beat Germany in the previous world cup players? Did we meet Portugal in the previous world cup? Circumtances are different and therefore, our hunger for a cup does not mean we should not take all factors into consideration.
