To Coach Hayford: please, use the 442 counter attack. Defence wins tournaments. Our goalie was the reason. We won. The Canadian 2, 9, 10 are dangerous! Canada will make lt out of this group becos they have more polished, skillful players. They also play according to plan and formation, disciplined. Ghana team must utilize the wings and dump the ball into the opponent's 18. 2,3 touches, 442 counter, use the wings when countering, and play the ball into the opponent's 18 yard box. We didn't do too much of these vs. Canada.

Every single female in Ghana today wears some form of hair enhancement. Nappy hair is far better than these girls looking like boys with boobs.
They may be tactical, but lack self esteem and confidence, because of the way we treat our youth. Excessive subservience without flexibility.
I am proud of you girls and know you can do much better, but let me say shame to those who are charged to take care of you. Stay strong, grow your hair like all Gods little girls should, and don't allow these Ghana Talibans to use you as pawns.

The fifa logo (badge) on the shoulder seemed to have been glued there after the fact. They were all coming off. It's a shame and something should be done before the 2nd match. Girls don't have to wear such baggy shirts.

This is what the Canadians were doing. If Coach Hayford adopts this strategy we will have more defenders at the back and put ourselves in a position to score more goals! Everyone - including even women, like to see a pretty well-made-up woman. Already, people unjustifiably associate women who are in sports to unattractive women, so they must make an effort to dispel that notion by making a little effort to make themselves look a bit more attractive. Every woman, with a little bit of effort, can make herself look more attractive.
The picture accompanying the story above doesnt show that they are aware of the need to look physically attractive.
At the level they are now playing, they are exposed to many millions of spectators around the world and they have a responsibility to prove that Ghanaian women are good looking.
Its good for our national image and its good for tourism as well. After all, dont tourists travel to places in the world where there are beautiful things to see - and perhaps eat as well?

Almost gave the win away by allowing the Canadian side to change the tempo of the game with their substitutions,while our girls looked disorganized in the last 15 minutes of the game. It looks as though the team has no depth[subs], fresh legs who could be brought in to counter the new players from the Canadian bench!
In fact,the display of superior technical skills earlier by the Ghanaians,all but disappeared; with the girls chasing frantically after every ball,rather than marking their opposite number closely. This for instance allowed their Rt back/winger
to put on a dazzling back-to-end performance which almost became costly!
All in all, it was a good game which partially redeemed our tarnished image as a soccer powerhouse nation. Kudos to our goalie,Adjei,who remained focused throughout the entire ninety minutes,and ably protected our win!

The goalkeeper was outstanding; thanks to her and poor finish by the Canadians, we could've lost the match by 4-1.Our lone striker is very poor and lacks creativity. As a lone striker upfront, her vision is to enter the 18 and expect to score or win the team a penalty. Where is good old Ayieyam? she is a better striker and a finisher. Our defence was good but can improve and tackle outside the 18 rather than allow them in as penalties are won easily in world cups. Lets pray for a win not a draw in our next game and we can go to the quarter finals. That said, I don't think the girls have what it takes to go to the final as there is much work to be done and the coach failed to convince me as he didn't read the game or change any tactics when the pressure was on us so we had to soak the pressure for the entire 2nd half. Only God saved us. Finland will put more pressure so Coach, please go in with three game plans. Good luck to the team and God bless our homeland Ghana. God bless us all.
