Are they going to attribute that to the delegation`s inability to provide them with their usual 'dose' of "kenkey" and fish, or "fufu" they get back home? And of course,these same people and their backers, are the ones who comp-lain about inability to afford a square meal in Ghana!
I believe many of these critics are those gunning for the removal of Prof. Dodoo,because we know they made a blanket statement earlier that was later rubbished by one of our leading lady sprinters. Would 10 or 15 sets of uniforms have changed the fortunes of any members our contingent?
Look at the sterling performance record of those African athletes who excelled - Naija double sprint Gold Medalist,and also the superb lady weightlifter,who stood her ground, and was unperturbed by the antics of her Malaysian counterpart,and picked up the top prize! These and others who stand out at these international tournaments are those who have put in the necessary training/workout,but not those bribe their way to become members of our national teams!
