It's actually a pity now to claim to be Ghanaian here in the USA. We're just a laughing stalk country overseas on late night shows courtesy of Mahama and his advisors. It's sad to see a leadership without any vision.

Ghanaians are heroic in FIRSTS of world accomplishments and the HOOLIGANS called Black Stars, in Brazil disgraced a proud peoples.2. The Assamoah Gyang gang must PUNISHED
and banned from REPRESENTING Ghana for 5years.
3.RECRUIT,RETRAIN and RE-GROUP new Black Stars team that is DISCIPLINED and PATRIOTIC.
4. President Mahama was indeed WEAK to entertain this NONSENSE by kowtowing to HOSTAGE by a soccer team.
Mahama became a criminal assessor to submit to global shame of leadership incompetence.
5. I applaud Mr.Annor for being a TRUE PATRIOT even though I am a revolutionary Nkrumaist.
6.SAVE & SERVE GHANA NOW going forward!!

Extraordinary Congress Dissolves NFF's Board
Written by Ezeocha Nzeh, Abuja - Sunday, July 6, 2014
THE Extraordinary Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) rose from its meeting Saturday, dissolving the Aminu Maigari-led Executive Board.
The meeting, which held at Bolingo Hotel, Abuja, accused the Maigari administration of secrecy in the finances of the federation, as well as manipulation of the NFF Statues to suit its interest.
Following the dissolution, the congress also reconstituted the NFF Electoral Committee and the NFF Appeals Committee to prepare ground for election into the NFF Executive Board.
Delegates attended the Extraordinary Congress, which summoned the chairman of chairmen of Nigeria Football Associations, Effiong Johnson, to discuss recent developments in Nigerian football, from the football aπssociations of the 36 States of the federation and the FCT.
Reading the decisions, the chairman of the communiqué drafting committee, Obinna Ogba, said: "The Extraordinary Congress unanimously endorsed the dissolution of the Aminu Maigari-led NFF Executive Committee, and immediate termination of the employment of all management staff.
"The congress also endorsed the dissolution of the boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women League and the Nigeria Nationwide Leaguec
"The vice Chairmen are to take over the running of the Leagues and report to the Acting General Secretary of NFF.
"Congress approved the appointment of Lawrence Katken as Acting Secretary General of the NFF, pending the appointment of a substantive General Secretary.
"Congress bemoaned the international embarrassment caused the country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, by failure of the Aminu Maigari-led NFF to fully and firmly resolve issues of finance with the Super Eagles ahead of the tournament.
"Congress accused the Maigari administration of abuse of NFF Statues in its constitution of the NFF Electoral Committee, by altering the list of persons approved by the congress at the 2013 General Assembly."
New eight-man NFF Electoral Committee and six-man NFF Appeals Committee have been reconstituted to prepare for election into the Executive Board.
It is recalled that a High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State, had on Wednesday, granted an interlocutory Injunction in a case filed by Mrs Baribote, restraining the NFF President, Aminu Maigari and the Executive Committee from managing, directing and conducting the affairs of Nigerian football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.
Consequent upon that mandate of the presiding Judge, Justice P.L. Lot, the Minister of Sports, Tammy Danagogo, on Thursday appointed Lawrence Katken, as Acting General Secretary of the NFF. His appointment has now been ratified by the Extraordinary Congress.

One problem with us Ghanaians is that when we hear something we take it as gospel truth and refuse to think and find the other side of what we have heard. Since the issue of the payment of $3m came up and the allegation that tax will be paid on the amount to Brazilian govt. the GFA boss has denied the payment of tax. He further stated that the FIFA has an arrangement in place whereby they deduct what tax is due when part of the allocation to participating countries is paid out as appearance fees, is deducted and paid to the relevant tax authority before the balance is given to the GFA. So why do you keep writing these things. Please educate yourself a bit more, stop being so gullible and use your God given sense to analyse issues before writing such articles in the internet.

I agree for the most part with many of your points. However, I vehemently disagree with your listing the invention of the atomic bomb on a list of positive achievements. One, the atomic bomb when used, kills hundreds of thousands to millions of people, and renders the earth unsuitable for habitation for hundreds of years. two, who are the "us" that were given the atomic bomb? Last time I checked only Western powers were allowed to have the bomb. Have you seen any African country with the bomb. Please do not embarrass yourself with licking the boots of the white man in such a distasteful way. You are rightfully concerned about how ignorant we look to them given the embarrassing episode of the 3 mil cash delivery. Well you sound like you are also desperate to be a part of their clique with your "geniuses... who gave US the atomic bomb".

I believe the entire mismanagement on the part of the officials of the Black-stars started from Ghana. The players apparently were unhappy then.
The Blackstars management should have resolved the players grievances like their appearance money before they left for Brazil; I am sure Ghanaians would have backed them up 90%. It would have been appropriate for them to demand a large portion of their appearance checks with the remaining payment due them upon their return. After all, the officials surely collected their daily allowances before they left; why not the players who were the important component of the trip to Brazil. What a mess!! This will not happen again if we react the way Nigeria has done: dissolve the GFA branch that manages the Blackstars. FIFA will protest but it is for the betterment of Ghana soccer. In all what happened to the Blackstars is not unique. Similar situations might have occurred within the camps of the other African teams; it is not only Ghana and Nigeria that had team management problems. I did hear about what happened in the Cameroon soccer camp; I understand it was worst than Ghana's and it all began with their appearance money. As for the Nigerians, they were given firm promise by President Jonathan Goodluck to receive their money upon their return to Nigeria; I feel that quietened them a little; and they have already started doing the right thing to solve their problems immediately they got out of the 2014. The Ivory Coast team was also giggling about their money. This was really African teams' issue. It all boils down to our corrupt approach to solving simple problems. Good luck to mother Africa!!

For the leadership...GFA and others to say even publicly, that all that hoopla was not distracting, and did not have an effect...again reflects professional incompetence. What the USA team lacked in skill, the coach made it up in confidence building and playing the mental game. We often underestimate the mental piece.
