We could have done better if the players were not doing the job of the coach. Maybe Asamoah Gyan might have heard of the Columbian Striker, James Rodriguez who scored six (6) goals in five (5) matches. Now, that is a STRIKER!

We blew it because of the useless interference by GFA management and some players in the coach's selection. Regarding the players, I'm particularly suspicious of John Boye. That guy should be seriously investigated.

And even though it was after the fact, they got their appearance money anyway before the Portugal-Ghana game. The game I watched was not as impressive as the one prior, Germany-Ghana. Sportsman, I am just upset. The team could have reached the semis without any massive effort; the players are talented. I don't know what the devil got into them!!

Why couldn't the coach have waited till after the the match which was crucial. By the way, whose decision was it that the BS should play their last friendly game and train in the US? A dumb decision and that was the beginning of the end. Of course there is also all the drama that unfolded.

The players should have launched their protest about their money before they left and I am sure Ghanaians would have backed them up 90%. It would have been appropriate for them to demand a large part of their appearance checks before they departed for Brazil with the remaining payment due them upon their return. After all the officials, I am sure, collected their daily allowances before they left; why not the players, the important component of the entire trip to Brazil. What a mess!! This should not happen again. By the way, did a similar situation occur with the other African teams? Sportsman, did you hear about what happened in the Cameroon camp? I understand they had similar problems with their appearance money. As for the Nigerians, they were given firm promise by President Jonathan Goodluck to receive their money upon their return to Nigeria.The Ivory Coast team was also giggling about their money. This was really African teams' issue. It all boils down to our corrupt approach to solving simple problems. Good luck to mother Africa.
