This way will not have any future Nyantkyis from Ghana. I don't who the Nigerian, Cameroun, Ivory Coast Nyantakyis are. But I know we have them in the countries I mentioned above.

  The african players dont trust their hmm FA leaders to direct deposite anything.The players know once they go back to the respective african countries their corrupt leaders will short change them,cheat them out of their fifa share of the money,this has happen to them in past world cup,hence the Ghana players ask for cash bonus.African leaders are corrupt to thethe core,we all know it from our everyday experience from the passport office to the Policeman ,to the politician.why should the players trust our leaders who loot the goverment and their people .

Yes, Ghana is now the laughing stock of world football. Have you forgotten that it was not the Black Stars players who were caught on video trying to sell matches to British journalists.   You simply get the players to sign a contract before camp begins.agreekng to the stipulations like Payment amount in local currency, period of payment, mode of disbursement, do and donts in camp, disciplinary actions etc. If players and all those in camp are made aware of their responsibilities and they sign off on them. You won't have these disagreements. Time for Africans to do things with professionalism and modernity.

  All European, Asian, South American football players always yearn to play for their countries. The prestige is so much. They do get paid for playing international matches. The reason we dont hear about any rumblings is because they get paid without any fuss.
  In Africa, should the players waive their bonuses to be used for projects, the monies will find their way into individual pockets. This is why they fight for what is due them.

Having said that, the problem, particularly with Ghana, is not about how much should have been paid or the absence of a contract; it is about a dysfunctional government like the NDC and it's ministers who know nothing about planning and who were thinking more about the size of their own wallets rather than the welfare of the players.

  It doesn't matter how much the players earn from their respective clubs, FIFA has provided money to the GFA to give to the players for appearing in the world cup (The exact amount is agreed between the players and the GFA).

  As a player reporting for National duty, if the GFA has agreed to pay me an amount, I expect to get it(no matter how small it is!!), don't agree to pay me and then later on use delay tactics etc. to withhold the money from me.
  
  I will get annoyed, especially if I see all these so called "officials" and their girl friends traveling first class and staying in better hotels than me after all, the tournament is about the footballers not the officials!.
  
  The blame for all the troubles lies firmly with the GFA.
