The money is no tax payers money. this money FIFA pays to GFA (about 8million dollars). The players asked for about 3million of it as appearance fees and yes this money is paid by FIFA after the final match but when the there is a history of GFA not paying the players when the tournament is over then the players must do what they have to do to make sure they get paid. Why should the players bring their talent and have official rob the nation on their account. Tweeeaaaa Ghana people. Get the facts and argue fairly.

His greatest concern is in his last paragraph: Why bring a plane load of cash to distribute to the players in Brazil? If the authorities were wise they would have solved the matter differently to the satisfaction of all - especially the players. This matter should have been dealt with even before they took the first kick in the tournament and lost the ball to USA to score a goal in 50 seconds.

All the players who participated in world cups are paid in advance before the match. It is only in some African camps that you hear officials trying to steal the money that should go to the players.

One has to accept that we have corrupt leaders and until we kick them out Ghana is going no where.

Sulley I want to congratulate for your contribution to the black star team. You played very well with the rest of the team.

But most of all I want to thank you for stanting firm to those non-essential oficialls who were there only to make money from you and the team. You should have slapped more of the so called team officials.

It is better if Ghana did not qualify for the next world cup so that those officials will not have the chance again to go to Russia and benefit from you.

The govt. of Ghana has no wisdom. The country is managed by unqualified corrupt men and women who have no heart for the well-being of the country.

If you had not stood up and slapped one of the officials whose presence is to make money the 3million would never have been paid to any of you.You now know how corrupt ghana has become.

What is the wisdom in this: they charttered a plane, burnt fuel and paid 17%tax to the Brazilian govt.

Such tax money could have been used to pay for the food cost at deaf and blind schools so that they have proper meals everyday. Well done Sulley!!

I would like to make a simple recommendation to the GFA. Going forward we should fix the appearance fee for all National teams so once you are called upon to play for the Nation no one would have to go and start bargaining with players. The players too, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaba, you go to a World Cup, only to go and threaten that you would not play? I think they should have concentrated on their games and played to qualify for the next round and then............... do whatever they wanted. There is no way anybody would have gone against their appearance fee. FIFA would have paid that money directly into their accounts. Now with such a disappointing performance(really dont remember the last time Blacks Stars went into a tournament without winning a match) who will look at any of you to get a contract. The players were so bitter that they played selfishly on the other than that we should ahve beaten all the teams HANDS DOWN

That is Bullshit. These guys play overseas and have account where they play. Ghana banks are not to be trusted. Even Kwesi Nyantakyi has a foreign account as well as all the Ministers and they are all in ACCRA.

Why would the FA and the State decide that, even though we promised you appearance fee, we can decide to pay or postpone payment. Why have our authorities become so "dubious" in character only when it comes to money. When the Greek players decided they were not going to receive their bonuses, I wept in chambers and asked myself, "oh when, mother Ghana, when will poverty leave our shores so that Ghanaians will behave 'normally'. The players deserve to be paid, once they'd been promised. Why would we pay "so many millions" in judgement debt to an individual, who did not deserve it, and would not pay those who (albeit the slight show of unpatriotic acts)put their bodies on the line to raise the flag of Ghana? God save us!

That being said people are wondering why a whopping amount of $100,000 be paid to individual players while the rest of the country is languishing in poverty. Well, FIFA does not consider the stae of a nation's economy before sharing money for appearance fees to all players. so Ghanaians better be informed and stop this popular nonsense. The layers are being paid according to world standards not Ghanaian standards. Next time choose to be a football player and qualify for a world cup tornament and get your share of the appearance fee. John Boye has the right to kiss his money.
