Whoever offered him a contract extension must be questioned too.

what happened at the world Cup to Ghana is a reflection of the mismanagement in both in soccer and government. The lack of strategic planning to advance or win even a game. Winning game takes some effort both physically and mentally. A well prepared knowledgeable management team would have paid the the players ahead of time to boost their Morales, and offer them the opportunity to work as team. Muntari and Boateng are not stupid. This is not the first time they have been denied early payment. I am done following Ghana soccer. This team has all the players they needed to win more than just on the group stage but the fail not because they do not have the skills. The fail because they are from a country with unscrupulous leaders. A country with abundance of resources where millions wallow in misery and poverty while. As I watch this players play, I could envision how a good managerial system could have elevated this team to a higher level this year if the leaders of Ghana were wise. A team with a coach plays without formation, makes changes from good to worst, start with weak players, and waits till is about 20-minutes to the end of the game before bringing in highly skilled players. Seriously, Appiah, I have loss the confidence I have in you. I think is time you step down. A cry for my country!

Was he right when he questioned your decision on player selection for the usa ghana game. With that said, what was the deal with the german game. Ghana invested all these $$ in you hoping for something good. Sorry, they went to waste. Feel for the players and the shame your incompetence has brought on them. Most Ghanaians funs warned you (DRAA) in advance to exclude KPB from the Brazil squad. Now he has delivered what you were expected of him. As for Sulley, I don't blamed him at all. He should have slapped that GFA official twice. They can't sacrifice for nothing. Our down fall was caused by soo many factors:
1. The Government interference
2. GFA corrupt attitudes
3. Lack of good leadership for the team
The self reliance crusade is still on "Walatulization" but we need a new hand to handle things henceforth. Coach DRAA has done his part and it is time for him to step down or resign for a new hand either Tetteh or whoever is competent.
If nothing concrete is done, we will pay the same price again and again.
I have been a good supporter for coach Akwasi Appiah till now, but it is time for him to path way for another man.

Who ever advised Kwesi Appiah is stupidly wrong. This is a dangerous management decision. Nyaho Tamakloe is equally hot-headed in this matter. The failure of Ghana is a multiplicity of factors - bad leadership, management, corruption and ineptitude The following are my reasons:
(1) Neither Muntari or Boateng were inciting the players against Management
(2)The issues at stake were about welfare and mismanagement.
(3) neither the coach nor the technical team play on the field. Here are footballers defending the country. The rules of the game is that they are given an appearance fee of X amount. By definition, this should have been paid before they appeared on the field or in camp. The contract is a promissory agreement.
(4) You do not sack players a few minutes before a crucial match. It directly or indirectly demoralises the team. It is worth noting that even though some of the players may be silent on events in the camp it does not mean they are happy about what was going on. It is simply that they may either not be as vocal as others and will therefore be looking up to more vocal people to represent their views.
(5) The coach did not do anyone any favour. I have no doubt that his management skills are doubtful.
(6) I have no doubt that there were technical men/women behind who were urging the coach to take those actions for their own selfish interest and not that of Ghana.
(7) Assuming what was reported is correct, Muntari would be right in posing the questions he had allegedly asked. Yes, Muntari is tempremental but not as Baloteli and like one coach puts it, he is a good player and that all that he needs is to be managed.
(8) We all know that GFA is a cow that everyone would like to milk but without footballers the GFA will not exist to be milked.
(9) That the sacking of those stars was to serve as an example to the younger players is stupid and irrelevant. If those young ones turn professionals and play in high profile games they will be worse than Muntari and Boateng.
(10) What our management team is failing to know is that, they have recruited all these players from across the world. These players can see differences in management styles which makes a world of difference between what makes a successful team and a failure.
(11) I suggest that in future Ghana should not just pick anyone as coach/manager without management training. It is NOT enough to be an ex-footballer, a coach must have skills to manage people.

I have always been a staunch supporter of using local coaches and l still hold that view. However, I'm very disappointed in Akwasi Appiah not because they couldn't qualify but because of the events that led to their loss----promise not kept. It portrays that the people who led the team lack the competence to lead. First of all, why did they wait till last minute before paying the money? Secondly, did they learn anything from the Cameron revolt? Thirdly did they have a psychologist in the team? Did they understand that by sacking the leader who fought for the players they were demolishing the morale of the entire team? Oh! my people lack wisdom.

I am gutted by the news of both Kevin Prince Boateng and Muhammad suley Muntari eviction from the Black Star s camp on thursday before that crucial final game against Portugal. First and foremost I think both the FA and the Ghana football association need to exercise some common sense application in its dealings with the Ghana Black Stars as well as footballers in general. At a crucial period like that they the FA and the Ghana football Association should have known better that there is greater amount of tension in and around the camp round up to the day of the game itself. Dealing with footballers in general need some form of a total quality management on how to deal effectively during pressure times but to say something provocative to a player who is under massive pressure focussing on how to win a game is unprofessional and uncalled for. I do not condoned to what both victims did to both the manager and the FA representative and equally disagree with the sacking of the duo as those actions could jeopardised the team spirit of the rest of the squad at that crucial moment. It also could mean chaos around the final preparation and this is not good for team spirit. I would if i were the Manager hold on to any grievances until after the game. Footballers are like gladiators in a camp with completely different attitude which a manager could handle with patient and endurance. Harsh decisions like that could throw the whole camp into disrepute and pandemonium and i wouldnt be surprised if that could be part of the leading factors that has resulted in the lost of that final game. Yes total quality management involve every member of the both the FA and the GFA to be part and parcel to the decision making process. I think the decision to dismiss them was too soon at that crucial moment. The FA high ranking official should have managed the abuse and not be confrontational in its dealing with every member of the squad at that point. A great lessons need to be learnt and hoping this should not be repeated in any future engagement like A world cup or an international campaign.

Bad decision coach
Yes and in the process you demoraliised the team that is why the players could not perform.
Moses Armah is arrogant.
If that bastard Moses Armah crosses my path one day, he would count himself lucky to escape alive! I would definitely club him to death like a cat.
why the money delayed and why they should forget about their unpaid cash?
Who ever advised Kwesi Appiah is stupidly wrong. This is a dangerous management decision. Nyaho Tamakloe is equally hot-headed in this matter. The failure of Ghana is a multiplicity of factors - bad leadership, management, co ...

Since 2010 black star owned them outstanding money, is it true, and why they have not been paid? Who is to be blamed. NPP, NDC OR CPP?
OR MINISTER FOR SPORT.
It is much easier replacing Appiah, the Sports Minister and even the President than a skilful footballer.
Remember it has taken us more than 40 years to get Robert Mensah's class of goal-keeper and it may take us many years ...

Ghana must be ashamed. Appiah is so tactical-less. He is also full of useless ideas and influenced by unnecessary armed robbers who claimed they are officials. Muntari was bravely right. They must all be sacked as well.

Some Ghanaians just dnt knw how to keep their business under wraps. You should have watched CNN news yesterday to see how the GH team were being mocked for this stupidity. This was what the western world was praying for

akwasi appiah should be sack as a coach of ghana national team. infact he should be dismissed right away.ghana need a new coach better than this currently coach.
Kwesi Appiah you need to be sack...
He claims he did what will benefit the team.
But the question is:
DID IT BENEFIT THE TEAM IN THE LONG ROUND,IN THE PHASE OF BEING THROWN OUT OF THE WORLD CUP?
That's a total loss.
A true leader doesn't become apprehensive in the face of national duty. I don't support what our two influential player did but it was a wrong time for such horrible decision to be made. What about the Match fixing by the GFA ...
