All the players who played the game against Portugal were useless today. They didn't put a lot of effort in the game. Ghana coach is useless and I'm glad we're out of the World Cup.

I seriously think there is a lot of blame to go around, but the coach should take half the blame. The problem started with his decision to take only 6 defenders to the tournament. This led to having to field Kwadwo Asamoah in left back instead of freeing him up to create goal scoring opportunities. Playing Opare in right back against USA was a big mistake as well. Again, the coach didn't give himself many options in defense to start with. Finally, the coach's selections for the matches and the timing of his substitutions were not perfect. Afriyie Acquah should have started the game against Portugal, but the coach waited 75 mins to bring him on. I would like to see a coach who is more proactive than reactive. Don't wait till it's too late to start making changes. I also believe Nyantakyi should resign his position for all the problems he has created in the background. In most developed nation's, an FA president in Nyantakyi's position would have voluntarily resigned, but Nyantakyi is waiting for someone to fan his tail before he knows it's time to go.

The behavior of the players epitomizes Ghanaian society. They knew they will eventually get the money. For the past decade, the GFA has never reneged on its monetary promises to the members of the national team. You can't fight over money when you have few days to prepare and think that you will do well. If the GFA had failed to pay the players, the players would have greater leverage in the future because they could refuse to play in AFCON and other qualifying matches. Africans are primitive.

It`s as simple as that if you want the boys to represent the country and die for it, the country must in the first place respect the boys no matter what.

It`s as simple as that if you want the boys to represent the country and die for it, the country must in the first place respect the boys no matter what.
The country cannot approve money worth $20 or so million dollars for the world cup and yet refuse to pay their allowances even after their first two games. That was a very sad mistake for the government of Ghana. It is a big shame to the country to ask Fifa to pay in advance what would be paid to Ghana at the close of the tournament in advance. Some Africa countries always disgrace themselves in situations like this. The awful impression given to Fifa by Ghana is that the country is broke that she cannot take care of its national team at the world cup. If you discourage your national team by the government`s inability to pay the allowances due the players then the world cup is over for your country period. As a result such deliberate refusal to honour such obligation spelt Ghana`s doom. It has happened to France, Togo, Cameroon etc and none of these played well at the world cup. Ghana is fond of doing such things and I assure you if it weren`t for such negligence the boys would gone very far at the world cup. This single issue was the basis for the other issues that were at the camp of the Black Stars in Brazil.
