Kicking the ball inside ALWAYS lands in the territory of our opponents, and on the foot of an opponent, and that is COSTING Ghana. Germany's second goal happened because of that: when it landed on the foot of the opponents it ended up in our goal posts in a few seconds.

Most of the time if a goalkeeper kicks the ball all the way in, rather than to his teammate, it finds the foot of the opponent in his "territory". This is like GIVING AWAY one's possession so cheaply. It takes great efforts to get the ball back. This is something I've observed Dauda Fatawu does a lot. he hasn't realized how costly it is yet, so somebody who can reach him has to tell him NOW so he doesn't repeat it in our encounter with Portugal on Thursday.

Ghana is on our side: Victory is ours' this time. Seen? Louis Suareg of Uruguy has turned into a dog with SHARP TEETH on the field... He hasn't seen anything yet for messing up blessed Ghana in South Africa 2010.

Its true the current BS team has given this country some additional exposure,but I belong to a generation which saw legends like Rev. Osei Kofi,Mfum,Aggrey-Fynn,Kwame Nti,Edward Acquah,Agyeman Gyau,Adarkwa, Addo Odametey,Robert Mensah 'die a little' for this nation!
For me,I view this singular action,taken on the world stage,by the current crop of players,as being very much out of character,and has dented the carefully nurtured image for the team! But blame GFA officials,headed by Kwasi Nyantakyi, for having brought this shame upon the country! They have exhibited so much naked greed and corruption which elicited this kind of response,on the part of players. How could anybody expect these players toil and make personal sacrifices,while a select bunch of insensitive officials enjoyed all the benefits?
I hope Pres. Mahama will use this 'glorious' opening to undertake a massive 'clean-up' exercise that will rid this country of the greed and selfishness that eaten into the very fabric of our society! Nobody should be spared in this long-overdue purge within the administration;from those who run the various MDAs,to semi-autonomous entities like Universities, etc.

In an act of charity that was reported last Monday by no less a renowned news hostess RACHEL MADDOW on her MSNBC news program, Sulley Ali Muntari was reported to have gone to a poor neighbourhood in the Brazilian town after their match with the Germans, and given out cash to the poor and needy. Rachel was full of praise for Muntari, and as a Ghanaian living here in the US, I couldn't have been more proud.

Where were our journalists to cover this story? Instead of reporting the the good deeds of our teams and players, we are again stuck with news about the stinking mess being created by a very inefficient GFA and Sports Ministry.

I hope the Brazilians are not going to charge the GFA for money laundering. Why should the boys be paid in cash instead of depositing the money in their accounts and sending proof of payment to them? Nyantakyi and his board of executives have been playing hide and seek with payments due to the playing body for years. Money meant for the Ghana national team are normaly paid into accounts of the GFA before they remmit into accounts of the government. From information available, the GFA pays the money to private banks to earn interest before payment is made to the government chest. This has been going on for years, and we must not blame the stars for their demand, but Nyantakyi and his Mafia crew.
