There was this guy who bought an elderly ivorian circus elephant; I don't know why. Alas, he couldn't afford to feed it. He'd never seen an elephant jump with all 4 feet off the ground. So he started a contest: entry was $10, and the first person to get the elephant to jump with all 4 feet off the ground would get $50,000.
All sorts of people tried, but nobody could get the elephant to jump. Finally, this little Ghanaian guy arrives in a limousine. He's carrying a baseball bat. He walks up to the Ivorian elephant, swings the bat, and crunches the elephants balls pretty badly. Needless to say, the elephant jumps, and the owner pays out the $50,000.
Unfortunately, the owner had barely collected enough to cover the prize, so he ran another contest. He'd never seen an Ivorian elephant swing its head back and forth as if to say, "no." Same deal as before: $10 per entry, $50,000 prize. Lots of people try and fail.
Then the little Ghanaian guy shows up in his limousine again, pulls out his bat, and walks up to the Ivorian elephant. He says, "Remember me?"
The Ivorian elephant nods yes.
The man says holds up his bat and says, "Want me to use this again?"
The elephant nods his head rather emphatically no.

What Desailly is saying is what the logical conclusions reveal. Anyone who looks at the 4 teams in group G will find it difficult to conclude that Ghana is going to qualify ahead of Germany or Portugal or even USA whose preparation has been very impressive. Germany's team is made up of super stars who are first choice players in top European teams. It is the same for Portugal who has the current world best player called Ronaldo. And USA, they have had the best preparations in several years. For Ghana most of our players are even struggling for position in their teams.
Anybody who looks closely at how we made it in South Africa will realise how it will be difficult for us in Brazil. You see, we managed to beat Serbia because of the naivety of the Serbian defender who handled the ball in his 18 for no reason. So the logical conclusions are heavily again us. It is up to our coach and players to re-enact the David and Goliath drama.

2nd Brazilian goal:
No penalty. Referee calls penalty just because Brazilian falls in box. He is even barely touched before he falls.

2nd Croatian "goal":
Croatian attacker jumps and heads ball away cleanly from Brazilian goalkeeper to his fellow attacker.
The latter scores. Referee disallows goal and calls a foul against Croatia.

3rd Brazilian goal:
Referee ignores clear fouling of a Croatian in midfield and allows Brazilian attacker to score.

Referee started well and then decided to help Brazil.

They don't deserve this "win".

Because of this, they will never touch the World Cup in 2014.
