Your article is so straight to the point. K. Asamoah is supposed to be our play maker, no doubt. You also rightly pointed out the fact that his problem is that of lack of self confidence. Well, fair enough but then I think his self confidence has gone up a notch since he has been with Juventus. The real problem now is something different from self confidence. I tell you why.1. All those play makers you rightly mentioned above have always played the central role with the freedom to move into open areas and cause havoc. They sometimes go out as far as to the wing and come inside to score goals. Ronaldo is a prime example. Where has K.Asamoah play these days? Wing back both for club and country. How does anyone expect him to execute a play maker's role from so deep? (2) The players that you have mentioned above have also been blessed with a lot of intelligence. I am not talking about academic intelligence here I am talking about natural footballing intelligence. Zinadine Zidane is an intelligent footballer, Xavi is an intelligent footballer, these guys are quick thinkers, they create their own luck by their intelligent decision making. They are intelligent enough to find weaknesses in the opposition teams and exploited them, Ronaldo recently stated that what he does is that he tests the back four of his opposition and find out which one of them is the weakest, he then changes flanks to attack the weaker defender. That is football intelligence. I do not think K. Asamoah possesses this intelligence. He has abundance natural ability but that alone cannot always take a player to where he should actually be. I hope he completely proves me wrong in Brazil. Having said that, he still needs to be played more centrally or at lest in a more attacking role to have a cup winning impact for Ghana. He is currently being wasted by playing him at the left back.

Hi Guys. Do you remember that the first time Abedi Pele got to the big stage was when Black Star's Adolf Armah was down with injury?? That is the trend in Ghanaian football history. With KAsamoah, Essien, Muntari, and the older guys at their peak or downwards from the peak, some new revelations will be springing up to take the mantle and lead the evergreen Black Stars into the future. Who could have dreamt that Jordan Ayew would score a hat trick against South Korea. But here we are, faced with a classic performance that defies discussion b'cos it's like a real dream.... I just don't understand what we Ghanaians are made of. We always seem to rise to the occasion. Lets keep praying.

Kwadwo Asamoah doesn't have a defined position in the Black Stars and that seems to be the problem. Just yesterday he was put at the left back position. For a player with such tremendous striking abilities, such a move might be counter-productive and AA should know better. We need an awsome striking force for this tournament and Kwadwo Asamoah should be part of the force.

How could we? It's been thirty something years we tasted/kissed a trophy. How credible is the assertion: we always rise to the occasion? Beats me

What a mirage of an article, togbe Numekevor. It is convoluted, cluttered and not reader-friendly at all. I gave up after a few seconds.

FIRST TEAM CLUB PLAYERS LIKE ASAMOAH GYAN,DEDE AYEW,ADAM KWARASAY AND THE JUVENTUS GUY EITHER PLAY SECOND FIDDLE TO BETTER FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, OR PLAY IN EMPTY STADIUMS IN NON-COMPETITIVE LEAGUES.
THOSE FIRST TEAM PLAYERS IN EUROPE WERE ELBOWED BY KWASI APPIAH MAINLY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AKAN.
SLY TETTEH IS MUCH MORE AN EXPERIENCED COACH THAN KWESI APPIAH. AGAIN, TETTEH WAS ALSO ELBOWED BECAUSE HE IS NOT AN AKAN.
TRIBALISM WILL KILL GHANA.
HOW CAN SUCH A TEAM WIN THE WORLD CUP?
ESSIEN WAS LOANED TO REAL MADRID AND HE FLOPPED. THAT TOOK HIM TO A LACKLUSTER A,.C. MILAN UNDER COACH CLARENCE SEEDORF. AGAIN ESSIEN WAS A FLOP AT AC MILAN, PART OF WHICH LED TO THE SACKING OF POOR OLD SEEDORF AFTER JUST A FEW MONTHS AT THE HELM OF MILAN.
