    Did you understand what Appiah said? He is not saying Essien is going to play in the central defence. He said Essien "can"; K Asamoah "can". What that means is, "if the sea dries," Essien can be a defender.

    With the quality of those two, putting them at the back will be under utilizing them. Asamoah's magic and Essien's force is needed up on the field. But Rabiu is irreplaceable in the team
