Aa is not finely tuned to professional discipline. He is there in person, but his psyche is lost in the woods! This is why gh will suffer. We have the tools but the carpenter is not knowledgeable. So what do you think will happen? We should desist from making costly decisions that will cost us even more in the future. This is what gfa has done here. The fact that AA hasn't played abroad before is neither here or there.. You need your brains to do the work, after all, it is not AA who will be playing but his players just as a White coach will use these same players.. All you need to do is to read wide and be a deep thinker and have technical brains with analytically acumen to help.. We allow whites to use these same players to make names but afraid to use our own and have started praying for his downfall..?? I can't believe this!!!!! Ghanaians are so obsessed with winning that we sometimes watch games with our emotions instead of the mind. The national team cannot win every single match that they play. AA has lost to both African teams and Non- African teams. But what really matters is the relevance of the match. Losing in a friendly match, and most importantly a preparation match, should not be something to worry about. What should be known is that modern coaches are part of a technical team and therefore do not make autonomous decision. An asset for coaches to succeed in today’s soccer world is leadership and AA is exhibiting that. The idea to play with “team B” in Holland’s game was a choice made by the technical team and not AA alone. Moreover, the decision to drop Schlupp was not a mistake but a calculated move. You need to understand soccer in order to appreciate what the technical team is trying to do. Besides, 16 teams will be eliminated at the first round of the world cup, so if Ghana should be part of that 16 it will hurt, but it will not show that the coach is low minded or the team is inferior. Remember, luck is a huge part of the game; so wish us luck

Why should we regret?

Which country on the planet, having qualified for the Cup, left its qualifying coach behind if it did not have any conflict between its Management and the Tecnicos?

Of course, we want to win all friendlies too, but the die is already cast.

Post-AFCON 2006, and going in for the first time, the "experts" put us at the bottom, but we beat the world's Number 2 and 5 to proceed.

In 2010, we lost to Bosnia and Holland going in, but we came out of our group, and even "made it" to the semi-finals.

As soon as Appiah was appointed, some said he would not even qualify us for AFCON 2013, and as for WC 2014, we should forget it, they moaned.
Well, we're still here.

Let him have his day.
We're on a mission to create a culture of local-coach-only dependency.

The Europeans have not won us the WC.
If Appiah does not win it today, it'll not be a heresy, it'll not be unprecedented, it'll not be an indictment of locals.

We'll just try another local tomorrow, and keep trying till we win, that's all.

As for me, I think he has already exceeded expectations, considering the low achievements that were forecast for him by some forumers at his inception.

APPIAH, you must find a way of inspiring the guys to play with emotion, to get very-early goals (like Montenegro and Holland did to us) and never to forget that it was THAT EMOTION, driven by FEAR OF ELIMINATION, that propelled us to defeat Czech in Cologne and Egypt in Kumasi.

If we start fast, we will catch that emotion and no-one can stop us from grabbing 9 POINTS!.

So there are people who are praying for the downfall of Ghana. Raymond seems to be happy that our players got injured in the Holland friendly. He even said he "thanks God" that 3 of our players got injured.
Somebody like this is going to be praying that we get knocked out at group stage. I am happy the GFA has extended AA's contract, so even if we get knocked out AA will still be in charge.
Raymond Aboah is just a fucking idiot... If Ghana defenders tackle hard or recklessly, is it AA's fault? Most of the players already have a style of play. They train with their club coaches day in day out. They only train with AA once in a while. If they play recklessly, it is not AA's fault cos he has been with them less than a month. AA can only talk to them and ask them to calm down. He is not responsible for how they play their natural game. Somebody like Cheick Tiote from cote d'Ivoire is a COMBATIVE midfielder. If he goes and he plays the same way for Cote d'ivore and gets a red card is it the coache's fault? NO! That is his natural style of play. The person who can change it over time is the club coach who spends all the time with him, not the national coach who only has one or two months in a year with him. Similarly, we cannot blame AA if some of our defenders are naturally reckless!

We don't know what kind of formation to use.....A beg we should let the players play their normal position they play in their various clubs abroad....we must play our 1 top formation while the players use the intersecting formula making it hard for our opponent to be read and marked, we need to be very quick in recovery when we lose the balls, we seems to be working through the middle nowadays and not working whiles the wings are there. Its not going to be easy...we mustn't concede a goal first, we must score first...Against USA will be more tougher so Kwasi Appiah must act fast...

People are still remembering what happened in the African cup nation when Akwasi Appiah was with the team as a coach at the time. The humiliation both the Ghanaian players and public suffered in the hands of some unscrupulous teams like Burkina Faso and others. The reason Cote d'Ivoire could not make it past the group stage in 2010 was that they had Brazil and Portugal in their group.
No matter how good Ghana performs in Brazil, it is going to be difficult to outdo Germany and Portugal not to talk about the USA who has vowed never to be beaten by Ghana the 3rd time.

All because 30% of our people are illiterate, 50% are semi-illiterate, leaving us some 20% who are capable of analyzing any situation; unfortunately the most dangerous group is in the majority. A coach who has no reference can neither ask any coach of repute for a friendly match or can he comfortably control players who are technically and financially several steps above Kwasi. He cannot read any game, past or on-going and never do blackboard work to hammer home any strategy if he has one. No mistake, Keshi coached Mali, Togo before and anyway went on coaching course. Our boys will be playing only with their own brains for kwasi to take credit that's why there's no respect for im.

For years we have criticize the Ghanaian sports authorities for not using local coachs and now one localcoach has got an opportunity and instead of rally behind him here comes someone already telling him he will fail. The good news is Ghana has qualified again for the world cup under a local coach in the name of Akwasi Appiah. A milestone that has not been achieved by any African coach. The bad thing is the team"Black Stars" has no cohesion and therefore not playing like a team but a bunch of individual talents. The ugly thing is Ghana might have its worst defeat in this year's world cup if drastic measures are not taken. Looking at the Holland game, I realize how reluctant the whole playing body was especially the defense. Most if not all the players were not pro-active compare them to their group rivals Germany, U.S.A and Portugal. I have studied and watched U.S games and have realize that Ghanian players are not as serious as their other counterparts. This I attribute it to the technical team for not setting the standard high on the first day of training. The difference between a local coach and an expatriate coach is seriousness and discipline. Foreign coaches will not give in regardless of whether you are the best defender or play maker. As I was watching the Ghana-Holland game I realize a confusion going on at the Ghana bench. Coach appiah was fussing with his tech. bench over some issue and all I could see was the players were bluntly laughing at him the coach.
