8. mental conditioning/confidence building and lifting weights is crucial in this tournamnt. the gfa should bring in jnr agogo to help the boys lift metal.
bring in a proven psychologist to constantly instill confidence in these players.

Calling up those players does not guarantee their inclusion on the WC team. It could be that those are best players those countries have for the role they play. Plus, the final rosters for those countries are not out yet. All those players must justify their inclusion like anyone else, just like I said Essien must.
We are not aware any of those players are making any noise and talking as if their participation in the 2014 WC is a done deal.

But to make it simple for your understanding, what I meant was that some players regardless of their form in their respective clubs, are still valuable to their national teams. And love it or hate it, as things stand now Essien, though not playing regularly for his club, is one of the best players we have. He showed that with his output in the games I sited in my previous piece.
Chewer, let me take some time to teach you some etiquette. Throwing words around does not make you a scholar. At best it shows that you are one of the pseudo elitists, who only hold degrees based on "chew and pour" and know nothing about their environment. The kind that has run Africa to the ground. Any player over 40 years is a stamina suspect, which Essien has shown visible signs.
2. Still recuperating from career ending injury, coaches are nervous to play him especially for tough matches.

3. His performance and lack of play continue to hurt his performance. Opposing teams are exploiting his weakness to score goals which coaches believe could have been avoided if they had featured a different player

In a nutshell, old age,half-fit and 'tried and NOT-trusted' performance is what has caused his being sidelined for over 80% of his clubs matches.
His club coaches are aware of his 'EXPERIENCE' but they need more than just experience.

I think Ghana has good substitutes who can make up for the lack of experience.
Most WC teams have players playing the tournament for the FIRST TIME.

Essien should think about retirement now at 42 years and give the young, energetic, skillful players a chance.

Olele has a lot more experience than Essien.
