The airline was recklessly mismanaged under NDC to the extent that, when NPP took over, it constituted a heavy drain on the economy. It was absolutely uncompetitive and unprofitable and deeply drown in debts, both current and long-term. There was no prospect of profitability as per feasibility studies conducted by experts.

Customers were woefully dissatisfied with it's services due to scheduling problems (frequent flight lateness cancellations) and were shifting to other more reliable airlines, leading to half-empty flights.

This suffocating state of affairs left the NPP with no option but to take proactive steps to close it down to prevent further indebtedness and drain on the economy.

We must say it as it is and eschew all partisan tendencies in debates and issues on the nation's affairs. We have to approach national issues with objectivity. Thanks

Ghanaian leaders love too much FREEBIE USELESS OVERSEAS TRAVELS, and that explains why productivity is very low in Ghana's public sector.
