If any of the players chooses to return all or part of what he is paid, that is his own business.

We should not be calling on them to work for nothing.

I am sure there are many in Ghana, who will not lift a shovel or carry a tray to help any village in Ghana; not even for an hour on a Saturday. Yet they are here on these boards directing that these soccer players give up their money.

Even if these guys do not need the money, and I will admit that some of those playing in Europe may not need it, it is not for anyone to decide if they should be paid or not. If they want to donate the money back to the consolidated Fund of the government of Ghana, they are free to do so.

Ghanaians can be very petty. There are many in the service who do not need the money either. We do not hear them giving it up, do we? But let the same be paid to a soccer player, and suddenly we are up in arms over it, calling them names.

Just knock it off...leave the players alone...maybe they will do even better and return the extra money to Ghana. The country will not lose anything on this one.

If we don't go beyond the group stages and only get the $9 million, we will be at a loss of ($2,325,000) factoring in the $9.6 approved worldcup budget. If we go through to the second round we will make a gain of $2,675,000. Figure the rest out.
