This is why it behoves on couples to say yes to the ones they truly love and have been best friends over the years. I don't mean that can't have any issues but it's last better and longer. These days people enter into relationships, marry 3 days after and what should you expect? Guys with no better education but for the sake of their money go for very high maintenance women. Check our own home boy, for the sake of his money dated the girl friend of Prince Harry of England. Mighty glad that relationship didn't last, he'd have been poor before his retirement. Check Sulley Muntari and Menaye, I wish them well but they look a pure mismatched couple. It goes on and on. I don't deny gold digging but if a man has a good heart and takes his time to find, chances are he'll find a good one. I've tested and tried it. They did a survey about marriage and interview many people for India, USA, UK one thing that came out of the survey was that most Indian women said they never love the men they just met them for the first when they get marriage but they go into the marriage with purpose of loving them so they work on it every day. People do not answer the key question "Why are you getting married? Is it for companionship, kids, money, power or fame. Look at all marriages that had stand up at time is for companionship. Prince Charles marriage to Diana was for kids, Warren Buffett and Tiger Woods are all cases studies.

You call yourself Wise-Talk, UK, yet there hasn't been any wisdom or commonsense reflected in any of your postings that I have ever read. I would suggest you take advantage of the numerous educational opportunities in the UK, if you live there as you claim, to acquire some knowledge and also gain some exposure to as many cultures as possible. I am sure you would gain some knowledge or insight into the attitudes and behaviors of all women. Only then would you be in a position to make any sensible contributions on this forum and others you might come across on the web. I don't know how often you visit naijapals.com among others. If you don't frequent there, I would advise you do because the numerous Nigerian sites available on the web are filled with horrid stories, most of them worst than what you read here on ghanaweb.com.

They are there to rip you off for themselves and their so called extended family or they are there to pray for your death so as to inherit it all. For those who say Ghana men should marry their size, I say to them, there is no such thing as size when it comes to marrying a woman from Ghana. Some people believe if a woman cheats it's disrespect but when a man cheats, that's normal. I guess we men shouldn't be selfish and treat our ladies with respect and everything's gonna be alright. Women are no different anywhere all over the world but there's always a remnant. Not all of them bow to bal, it just takes time to find the right one. We also have to bear in mind that everyone enter into marriage with different reasons for some it about having kids, others it about money and power, another it about being famous. Fellow Ghanaians please let's mind the way we talk and handle issues. we like insults too much and that won't help or take us anywhere.
There is just too muuch to talk about most Ghana men when it comes to marriage. Mostghanaian women are going through hell and some even loosing thier lives in marriages. Does it mean the live a man is so precious than that of a woman for someone to say it's only fools and idiots who will date and marry a ghanaian woman and Odartey should thank God the woman didn't kill him? Are the men not maltreating women just like some women also do in this country? For the fact that most ghanaian women are gold diggers dosent mean all ghanaian women are gold diggers. There are ghanaian mean who are also gold diggers and even dig more than the women do. I really felt sad and disappointed at most of the comments that i read. Having a personal encounter with a coupled with an issue like this are just not enough to generalized all ghanaian women as gold diggers. Is ghana not having women of digity? Please when an issue crop up we should first listen well and make proper analysis before coming out with what we have on our mind to the general public so that our young ones and other will also learn some lessons out of it. Let's make wise comments please. Those men who are condemning the women shoudn't forget they were born by women and therefore if you say ghana women are gold diggers, then it means thier mothers are also gold diggers. I am not by this this supporting any woman because i personaly i believe all women are not the same and all men are also not the same. Whoever thinks he/she is good should proof that through his/her actions for people to see and testify. We should aslo be wise in dealing with each other and consult for advice. We have thrown our traditional culture and values away and as we are sulfferring. Let's investigate the background of the men and women we marry. If a man thinks he is not well educate so if he marries an educated woman he will be cheated fine he should check his level and go in for his equal. Let's open our eyes.We should stop talking as if no marriage is working here in ghana. Those who took the right path and understand each other are happy in their marriages though few problem may be there.

Everyone could tell this girl was in it only for his money. No wonder she distanced from everyone else who mattered to him. Odatey had a girl friend with a humble background who was ready to lay her life at his feet. Stardom got into his and he ditched her without any provocation. I am glad he using the lesson he has learnt to advice the young and upcoming. I pray and hope that he listens to them. For he is indeed speaking from experience. He could have been the most happiest person with his first love without even a pesewa.
