Yes, KA has done what he contracted to do and deserves the credit for it. One should also take into account the fact that Ghana qualified as the highest scorers in the qualifiers. That is no mean feat. Having said that, I believe giving KA a blanket contract extension may be counter productive. My reason being that if he is tied down to say a two year contract ending in 2015, he may drift into a comfort zone knowing that irrespective of how Ghana performs in the WC, his job is still secured for at least another year. I think he should be given a conditional contract extension with a good bonus clause inserted. For instance the terms of the extension will be that should he lead Ghana past the quarter finals, his contract will be extended for three years. If he fails, the contract expires after the WC. The GFA should then insert a bonus clause of say $2 million should he go past the quarters. This will give him the monetary incentive as well as that of securing his extension. I love this guy, but he needs to be provided with a challenge to get the best out of him.

I agree with you-Egypt's first goal was a cheap one, indeed. The Keeper just jumped, touched the ball and went to sleep. He did the same thing again (in the same match) but we were lucky a defender cleared the ball from the goal line. At a point in time, he couldn't even decide whether he should move off the goal line or stay. Yes, it's true he saved some goal bound shots but football is played for 90 minutes plus "time added on" and in some cases (as it will happen in the World Cup) extra time plus penalty kicks. So every player, including the keeper, should concentrate on the game and play/perform well for the full length of the match. In fact, the World Cup has no place for such Goalkeepers. If Mr. Dauda is the best Keeper we have, then he should really train really well. Otherwise we could "have some problems" at the World Cup. This is not a personal attack at all.
