Appiah you have done well, but my brother, just put your pride aside and accept a technical director. Otherwise, you will one day incur the wrath of our anger. Playing outside Ghana, and in a tournament is a different ball-game. Do you remember what you went through in AFCON 2012?,and now Egypt. "Rome was not built in a day", take your learning process to a step ahead.

AA DIDNTNEVEN ADOPT THE RIGHT TACTICS FOR THIS GAME. WAT A LOSER. WE ALL SAW WHAT HE DID AT AFCON12. WCUP QUALIFYING GAMES IS NPT THE SAME AS A WCUP OR AFCON TOURNAMNT. GFA, DO THIS MAN A FAVOR N BRING IN A TECH DIRECTOR.
DEFENCE WINS TROPHIES, TOURNAMENTS
CAN GH WIN THE WCUP? YES!
HOWEVER, THE LACK OF POSITIVE TEAM PSYCHOLOGY. COACHES LACKING ENOUGH TECHNICAL ABILITY TO COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL ARE THE 2 MAIN ISSUES.
SOLUTION: PLAY MORE FRIENDLIES BETWEEN EURO N S AMERICAN TEAMS BEFORE THE WCUP. AA NEEDS PROFESSIONAL HELP. HE LACKS DISCIPLINE N ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN COACHING AT THE ELITE LEVEL.
GFA MUST CONTACT FRANK RIJKAARD ASAP!
THIS IS WAT NAIJA SAW IN AMODU N DECIDED TO LET HIM GO. WE CANT GET RID OF AA, BUT BRING IN A REPUTABLE TECH DIRECTOR LIKE FRANK RIJKAARD TO ASSIST OR WORK WITH HIM.
BRASIL HAS SCOLARI AND CARLOS PERREIRA, 2 WORLD RENOWNED COACHES.
OTHERWISE, GH WILL GET SMOKED LIKE HIGHGRADE NTAMPE IN BRASIL.
DEFENCE WINS TROPHIES, TOURNAMENTS
THE BEST WAY TO ATTACK IS TO DEFEND!
AA SAID "THE BEST WAY TO DEFEND IS TO ATTACK". THIS IS WRONG. I DONT KNOW IF HE WAS BEING SARCASTIC/ME BOAPA AS U SAY IN TWI, BUT HE IS WRONG.
THE BEST WAY TO ATTACK IS TO DEFEND.E.G COUNTER ATTACKING, GOOD DEFENSIVE TEAMS WITH TOURNAMENTS.
THE TEAMS WITH THE BEST DEFENCES WIN TROPHIES DURING TOURNAMENTS. TEAMS THAT CONCEEDE LESS GOALS IN TOURNAMNTS WIN THE TROPHY. E.G..U17 NAIJA TEAM HAD A VERY GOOD DEFENCE.
U20 WCUP WINNERS FRANCE CONCEEDED THE LEAST GOALS IN THE TOURNEY. POGBA IS IN THE FRENCH NATIONAL TEAM, BUT AA WONT CALL YIADOM AND ASSIFUAH? HOW?
NAIJA WON THE AFCON 12 BCOS OF THEIR DEFENCE. CAMEROON N EGYPT WON THEIR AFCON TROPHIES BCOS OF THEIR DEFENCE. POGBA OF FRANCE U20 IS NOW WITH THE SENIOR FRENCH TEAM. WHY HAS AA DROPPED YIADOM AND ASSIFUAH FROM GBSTARS?
LOOK AT MOURINHO? LOOK AT ANCELOTTI.
THE BEST WAY TO DEFEND IS TO ATTACK, IS WHAT IS OFTEN SAID BY EXPERTS LIKE AA, AND YET IN BIG TOURNAMENTS, GAMES AS WAS IN THE CASE UNDER FERGIE/FERGUSON, AND NOW DAVID MOYES. MAN U HAS HAD TO ADAPT TO
COUNTER THREATS OFFERED BY THE OPPOSITION. INSTEAD OF THE OPPOSITION ALTERING THEIR PLAY TO COUNTER MAN UNITED.
even brasil COACH SCOLARI HAS A TECH DIRECTOR IN CARLOS PERREIRA ANOTHER WCUP WINNER. TWO CREDIBLE BRAINS AR EBETTER THAN 1. GFA, GO N GRAB RIJKAARD FOR AA, OTHERWISE GH WILL BE DISGRACED IN BRASIL.

What's your argument? Is it your position that if BS had a technical director the results would've been better? If so can you credibly support your thesis? Rasheed, I'll check for your response later. You might have a point but I want some facts. I think BS preparation was not adequate; either they were satisfied with the results of the first league or they were afraid should they defeat Egypt on their grounds given the volatile situation in the country. What do you think? I also think some of our key players , especially, Muntari and Ayew were not “themselves.”

When Appiah was handed this job, he was charged to qualify us to the world cup and to the semis finals at least. There was no clause that he'll be given a technical director biaaaaa in his contract. Now, he's already come this far when guys like you said he wouldn't. One thing guys like you don't see is that, whatever you say about Appiah, backfires and you're shamed in the end. Generally speaking, getting a technical director is never a bad idea but the truth is if we keep on like that, when can we be certain we don't need one? It's time to challenge ourselves for the best. You can do it if you really want. In 1991, local coaches qualified Ghana for the 2nd time to the world U-17 tournament, we ended up saying, they can't do it so we brought in Otto Pfister and he stood behind our lines and wept goal after goal for as long as the Starlets scored. Meanwhile, our coaches could've done it. For all the so many foreign coaches we've had, only 2 took us to the world cup. Between 1982 and 2012, had we relied on our local coaches, helped them to up their knowledge and skills of the game, Ghana would've have won some major trophies already. Forget about this technical whatever and let Appiah be. If he goes and doesn't make it, he'll come back and do his home work well. The lack of self belief and pull him down is what has put Ghana back till this day. Go check your history and you'll find out that once upon a time even a country like Malaysia borrowed money from us. Compare both countries today and people will say it's like comparing oranges with apples. Black man, rise, take challenges, you might win some, fail some but your tenaciousness will lead you on to victory come what may.

While I salute the entire members of the Beautiful Black Stars for a job will done and making Ghana very proud,we have work to do,a lot ahead to do,that result in Egypt was not bad BUT we could have come home with a WIN.I know we were under some fear FEVER due to the situation in Egypt,I saw the two goals score against us and I said we have work to do if we want to progress in the worldcup,I had written on these site weeks ago after our 6-1 defeat of Egypt how soccer expects from ESPN saw our goalkeeper have problems with free kicks and corner kicks.Am not an expect but the first goal could have been avoided if our goalkeeper had timed and out jump every player in defence and punch the ball away,NO he was slow and allowed the ball to drop before he attempt to stop it and it was too late.Simple put we cannot afford such mistake in the worldcup it going to cost us badly,I am hereby calling on the coach to quickly find a solution on goalkeeping not personal against Mr Dauda,we want to succeed, the last goal was a defender's fault I do not know who, but there is NOWAY that any good defender would leave(Gedo the goal scorer)all alone in our 18yard box,we still remember how he scored against us in Angola nation cup finals and we lost the cup.Look the truth is our coach need help even though he and the boys made us proud he still need help technically,GOD bless Ghana

Let a call a spade a spade and not a garden fork as some want to call it. The team was weak in many aspects in their second leg match against Egypt and Kwesi needs to assess such weakness going into the world cup. It was wrong decision to bring Kelvin late into the the game. Asamoah Gyan should have been substituted 60 min into the game. Ayew was not playing the coach waited a long time to replace him. Taking Mutari off was a mistake as he was the man of the match. We do need boldness and precision in high profile games like the one we played in Egypt. I know many are complacent but I am not one of them as I wish the best team for the country going into the world cup. Our weakness will further be exposed int he African cup if measures are not taken to correct the current deficiency. Adiyah has overstayed his welcome in Black Stars yet the coach keep calling him and benching him. Invite players like a Aboagye from under 21. Mahatma otto is not playing well at club football. Time to include the likes of Attafuah into the team. Forming a formidable team requires strategy and direction and this what I believe the technical handlers lack the moment

Most of the midfielders are okay but we have to bring in Afriyie Acquah and Frank Acheampong. For the strikers, bring in Boakye-Yiadom and Assifuah. The most important part of all is the Coach has to help them play a fluid passing game. Egypt really play good football but were unlucky.

Ghana did not really try to play in this game and only lost 2-1. This tells you that Egypt may not be all that great. Keep in mind that the second goal of Egypt was scored because most of the defense stopped when a fire bomb was thrown on the pitch. Moreover, Egypt's first goal was actually a hand ball when watched carefully on the replay. Frankly, had our guys really pushed on at the end on the counter attacks we would have equalized but they realized that it was not important and out of good sportsmanship held back.

When we heard that we were going to meet Egypt in the playoff, most Ghanaians thought we would not qualify. Not only did we beat Egypt (the best team in Africa in so many years), we beet them by 7-3. That is the best score line among all the African qualifiers. This is an amazing feat.
Just because we did not score a hundred goals in Egypt and dazzle the world, some crazy people think we need a white man to come and tell us how to play football. The players did not kill themselves because they were smart enough to know that we did not need to win in Cairo. We have qualified so stop complaining. If Appiah was white we would be celebrating.

Technical director doesn't need to be a white man. In any dispensation you assess your strength and look for ways at increasing your outcome. The game played in Egypt exposed Ghana's weakness. That Said we are even going on a bigger platform and it is important that we look for ways to strengthen the team before that time. If Ghana maintains such standards, we will fall in the Africa cup of nations and even exit at the elimination stage. We all want the good for the team and not espousing for a technical director for the mere sake. It doesn't have to be a white man to take this job. It is obvious Kwesi Appiah could not assess the game in Egypt and make the required changes. Asamoah Gyan and Ayew were a flop yet were maintained in game till the later stages. Boldness and precision is what will make the difference between a winning team and loosing one. The fact that we scored Egypt 6-1 in Ghana was an enough reason to relax going into the second round. We thought once we have being able to beat them 6-1 going to Egypt at least 3 goals were not beyond reach, What happened, we lost. the same Ghanaian mentality of complacency failed us. Someone to psyche the team up to even go for the kill at the time we knew we are the finish line is what we need. Remember Machester United scored two goals in four minutes. The bane of our problem is getting the right people in the field of play irrespective of their affiliation and how people will talk. It is true there a number of unpatrotic stories about Kelvin Boateng but benching him till the 78 min was uncalled for when his capabilities were needed to propel the team the higher and definitive success. His introduction in just 12 min saw him giving the needed one goal against Egypt. this is what we are talking about

When it comes to analysing Ghana's performance in a given match some of us appear to be unrealistic, motivated by a personal sentiment, fanatic etc.In the first place,it is deplorable to say that AA is a fool. How can a guy who has completed his secondary education, captained Kotoko and for a while the Black star be a fool?He is not infallible, but where you see a deficiency, your approach to point it out must be courteous and reasonable.I always say that if AA is not an experienced coach, his ability to assemble the best that we have to form this strong Ghana team and creating the democratic atmosphere in the camp, is an enviable achievement. If AA had listened to some of us,even Asamoah Gyan would be sitting on the bench and Prince Boateng, probably left behind. For the Egypt game,we had so many options to ensure our qualification and what the boys did was one of them. Whether we would need a Technical Director or not is something which the players themselves in collaboration with AA must decide because they're doing it and we're only watching.
