I've read the guardian and New York times on few occasions and I read Washington post almost everyday. All these big time news papers publish stories with mistake in spellings and so on. Yet, they never come back to render apology. This is one of the many reasons why I don't come back to correct any mistake I make here. My only concern is to carry my message across period and not to worry about the mistakes I made.

This is what we do & now Ghana is in a big mess since we always turn every issue into NPP-NDC; thus leaving valuable work undone and the "stealers" keep stealing till we wake up one day to see the damage we have inflicted on ourselves... I wonder who keep bringing this issue to us and don't understand it either...Why: is it to destabilized our preparation against Egypt or what? Hmmm? This German coach Klaus Toppmoller, has been fired 5 times in his coaching career...why even bring up his name. Appiah and Konadu do not need another boss. If Ghana fails in Brazil, it will be a lesson. ......and blame should be on GFA. My only issue is with the way Appiah was hired....he was handed the position. That said, he has improved his handling of the team, and I think he will continue to get better because of the higher standards expected of him. People forget that the team that we have now is of a higher quality than we have ever had in recent years. Ghana never gets this quality of players for Afcon. We usually get most of our best players for the world cup, but not for Afcon. Another observation: Appiah has gotten very good at making substitutions, something that Ghana lacked in the last 3 Afcons. We have a stronger bench now, hence substitutions either yield more goals or stabilize the game.

Jawula has been the most imprudent of all at this stage of our qualification to Brazil. So ill-timed even if there's a genuine need for a technical director. Perhaps it pains Jawula to see Appiah to have made such a marked improvement in his career. This is subtly a case of pull him down (PHD). Jawula can say anything to look good, that he considers Appiah as a son and whatever,it's simply a sign of imprudence with a subtle malice. So ill-timed!

Chris I'm with you. Appiah can do the job besides he's been to the world cup before as an assistant coach without any technical director during Milo's era so why now? If there are plans to look for a technical director, I'll advise we rather split the money for the clubs in the premier league to support them. Appiah has done better so far than his predecessors and he should be left alone to continue. We need to believe in ourselves, that's the way forward. Appiah should take us, if we even get walloped by all the teams at group stage, we should still come home and do our corrections. Such is life, you keep rising and falling till you get it right.

What is wrong with extra help be it from Tamale or Tokyo? Appiah is still coach but an extra advisor can only help. Mind you the BS has not gone past 4th place in 2 consecutive Afcons.

Ghana and other African nations have advanced. Gone are the days, when going to an international tournament is like going to outer space. The players and the coach are very confident. They are ready to face the best European and South American sides. Quite simply, all we need is 1) Make sure to finish the job in Cairo and 2) Play a number of very challenging friendlies before the WC. This is 2013/2014. Going to a big tournament is nothing new. My position is that all we need to do is score goals. If we have a team that can score 2 to 3 goals a game we are likely to win most of our games. It all depends on the group we get. If we get a manageable group in the WC, anything can happen in the knockout rounds. If we are put in the "group of death" in the beginning, I would be a bit worried. At the end of the day, we just have to face whomever is thrown our way and do our best.

All Coach Appiah and his assist need is sponsorship by various businesses and sports organizations as well as the GFA for them to get insights to what's technically new in the coaching profession, to prepare them well ahead of the WC-2014.

In my profession in the Oil field, I'm mandated to update my certificate as new info and technologies are revealed. Coach Appiah his sights set on Brazil 2014. Let the GFA and businesses who share in his dream give him the push by way of sponsorships and scholarships to go dig into latest tricks so we may all share in the glory when he succeeds.

Ghana has a typical devil. Whenever glory is near, then a wrong move is made that brings confusion to lock the door to glory.
That was what happened before we went to Senegal 92. Close to 10 years the Black Stars had failed to even qualify for an African Cup competition. Then a new generation of players have arrived - Abedi Pele, Anthony Yeboah, Prince Polly, Frimpong Manso, Emmanuel Ampiah, Emmanuel Armah (Senegal), Stanley Aborah, etc. It was a team with super stars - a team that did not depend on just one man. Such teams don't just happen; it a long time to have such talents congregating at a time. And the "magical" Bukhard Ziese was appointed their coach. Even in a qualifying group with Nigeria who had a team they referred to as their "dream team", we qualified as group winners with 2 matches to spare ie even if we had lost the last 2 matches, we would have still topped the group. When all was set for Ghana to go to Senegal and lay her rightful claim to the African Cup,then the devil struck. The coach, Bukhard Ziese was fired. A new coach, another German by name Otto Pfister, who had led the Starlets to win gold in Italia 1991, was appointed to take over.
As a new coach, Otto Pfister, as if to stamp his authority on the Black Stars, foolishly promoted many of the members of the Starlets team into the Black Stars. Thus inexperienced players like, Mohammed Gago, Issac Asare, Odartey Lamptey, etc became first choice Black Star players. This unwise decision weakened the team to the extent that without one man called Abedi Pele, the team had no cutting edge. So it happened when Abedi Pele was not available for the finals because of a red card in the semi-final, Ghana failed to win the cup.
A similar drama is brewing now. After qualifying for Brazil in grand style (Egypt will definitely be brushed aside 19 Nov), the devil has again touched some decision maker to realise that the Black Stars need a Technical Director. Why this confusion when we already have a coach whose confidence is peaking and the team has good momentum?
If a white technical director had been appointed nearly 2 years ago, nobody would have raised an eye brow because we were all made to believe that, the Black Stars top job was meant for white men.
I hope that this is mere rumour without any substance. But should it turnout to be true, it will greatly derail our efforts in Brazil.

If you are in doubt, play back our games during the African cup of nations until now.The world cup is totally different. A word to any one who understands soccer is enough.
