HE DRIBBLED 2/3 PLAYERS N MADE A PASS TO ESSIEN FOR THAT OG.

This coach has wiped the tears from our eyes -- after the lashes we got from the Serbians. One goal per match?

Good long range shooting is the key. At the World cup, certain defenses will not allow for penetration. Long shots that are powerful and accurate are the key. On thing with Atsu though is that he often gets dispossessed of the ball when he tries too much fancy footwork. He needs to get disciplined with that.

Although, it may appear unto some of us, a smaller (humble) beginning now, but for me, everything still holds to your brighter future. Well done Ghana Black Stars, but we really have to do something about our defence before Brazil 2014. Our defence looks very shaky and will easily crumble against some teams at the world cup. The young boy who played the right back against Egypt and who caused the penalty seems too inexperience, but I'm sure would have learnt a lot from that penalty. You can't give such easy penalties to your opponents, especially at the world cup.

honestly that was not a penalty, the referee erred on that it was not even a contact that merit a penalty take a good look at the clip if its available. if it were in europe the attacker would have been shown a yellow card for flopping. rasheed is a good local defender who has been overlooked for long, he is versatile too just need a little exposure and polishing and he will sit some professionals on the bench of blackstars . i will bet my money on this guy anytime. yahyah mohammed is another player that is being overlooked very hardworking midfielder who can compliment well with essien and deadly on long range shots and set pieces but the coaches have the say. combine put yahyah mohammed and essien infront of our defence and our opponents will have a long wall to overcome.

i guess you are kotoko man. get a video of kotoko baijai of algeria match and see how rashid in kotoko defence was outmanouvered for the algerian equaliser. that chap is only in team because KA is being magnanimous and the player seemed to be having the media on his side. if you say he is a good local defender & versatile, then i will advise you to go take good look at the ivorian playing in hearts defence and i bet you you will swallow your words. blackstars should be a collection of the best not a conduit where players will be called for players to be exposed and polished. if your not exposed and polished why invite you into the blackstars. to be honest yahya is not fit and also overhyped. if he were that good, there was no way kwesi appih a kotoko man will be hesistant in inviting yahaya.

rashid sumaila was not the young boy who played the right back. rashid sumaila was the kotoko p[layer who kwesi appiah has been doing everything possible to get him into the team. he has enjoyed considerable media hype. however when i saw him man the defence for kotoko when they played the algerians in kumasi i did not see him the quality player kwesi appiah and media want us to believe. he has a difficulty in turning. he is not swift. when the algerians played one two noe two he was lost and they equalised. in the match against egypt he was too inflexible to handle the situation and he lunged straight into the player. in fact the egypt centre forward noted that about him and in the second half you could salah was often times expecting passes so that he coulsd run over rashid but the excellent midfield play by essien prevented passes from going through.
i agree with you that was a cheap penalty. i said it even before the refreee whistle.

God bless our homeland Ghana
And make our nation great and strong,
Bold to defend forever
The cause of Freedom and of Right;
Fill our hearts with true humility,
Make us cherish fearless honesty,
And help us to resist oppressors' rule
With all our will and might for evermore.
Second stanza
Hail to thy name, O Ghana,
To thee we make our solemn vow:
Steadfast to build together
A nation strong in Unity;
With our gifts of mind and strength of arm,
Whether night or day, in the midst of storm,
In every need, whate'er the call may be,
To serve thee, Ghana, now and evermore.
Third stanza
Raise high the flag of Ghana
and one with Africa advance;
Black star of hope and honour
To all who thirst for liberty;
Where the banner of Ghana freely flies,
May the way to freedom truly lie;
Arise, arise, O sons of Ghana land,
And under God march on for evermore!
