Its greed and brainwashed. I have said it before and I am saying it again a Ghanaian coach has no where to go his or her heart is in Ghana we know where he or she lives and so our success is his or her success so is our failure the so-called expat is job the Ghanaian is a life. Even Fifa President has said we should look inside and stop looking outside. The door to expats must be closed forever and ever.

I can only add my voice to what this writer had brilliantly selected words to praise Kwasi Appiah. I'm Kwabena Dwomo and I say Thank You Kwasi Appiah and your battalion. You've given Africans a lesson to learn from this good performances and how to be patience about things, "Rome was not build in a day". Let's not jump to conclusions when failure comes like when we got 3rd place of Africa Cup of Nations, few of Ghanaian wanted "Akwasi Appiah" to be sacked or (sucked) but now we all sharing the fruits of Kwasi Nyantakyi planted seed. This all I have to say and sorry if some words offend someone please forgive me I don't mean it. "Brazil Here We Come" World Cup 2014.

For instance the Koreans will run the entire 90mins chasing down every ball and make you miserable in the second half. It will be sad to lose to teams like that so I entreat our players both invited or not yet fortunate to dream of Brazil. Work hard on these areas. Think about playing the likes of Neymar, Messi and Ronaldo in every game you play from now on. At least have that that killer instinct. I promise you will have nothing to lose!

It'll take more than thrashing a very weak Egyptian team 6-1 for me to be convinced this man is right man for the job LONG TERM.
I don't know why a lot of GHANAIANS SEEMS TO BE SUPRISED at how good Ghana is playing today.
We should be robbing shoulders with the worlds best long time ago.Im not here to spoil the party,im very happy with the win but im not getting carried away.
I think we should have won the world cup in south Africa[and that's not asking too much].
I also think we should have beaten brazil in Germany in 2006,not to talk of Uruguay in south Africa,if it wasn't for our players overwhelmed at the magnitude of the occasion.
In short their head was sweet for them and they took their eyes off the ball.
our style of play is different and it comes from how we learn to play the game.
you can find that in every street corner in the country and you take it for granted.
Its not everywhere you see kids playing football everywhere and everytime with no coach and they are allowed to express themselves with no pressure or health and safety coming into it.
We had the disadvantages of that in our lack of goal scoring in the past, because goal scoring is not as important when you are growing up.
kicking about before someone spots you,its about dribbling[sulia],its about passing and small post.
thats why we are skilful and that's why our players can play in any position and thats why OUR STYLE MAKES BIG TEAMS AND BIG PLAYERS LOOK SMALL,even though in reality we look smaller than them. You look at Nigeria, you look at ivory coast, they've all got their style even thou we live very close to them.
You can tell from the way they play compared to us.
You only have to kickabout with other foreign nationals to see the difference. Its no surprise we won the African cup 4 times long before anybody else won 3[I think].No surprise we've conqured the world so many times at youth level.and its not coincident we left a mark in both world cups we've been in and we got a lot of foreign nationals cheering for us up to this day because they just like the way we play.
Reason is we've got a lot of players playing abroad in big teams and big leagues today than we've ever had in our football history.
With all that experience coming together, with our style and conditions right as it is today[politically][not so great but better than other countries in terms of peace and expressing yourself.
it is just a natural progression of the team to be able to beat anybody today.During the times of abedi and yeboah,if not for the limited spot for Africa in the world cup, lack of consistency in the qualifiers in those days, too much corruption and too many inexperience local players and players playing in lower leagues around Europe.
If it was like it is today, abedi alone would have played about 3 world cups, his son is on his way to his third and he is only 22,so why not.
It is a fact that we played well, but we had to play well.its a natural progression,we've been there before,we got better players,we are hungrier,we playing at home,we know whats at stake,we've tasted it before,we want more badly and the nation want more badly. The coach have got his work cut out.
I know he got them together as a unit and we've almost qualified for the world cup but tell me,were you expecting anything less.the real work of not any other coach,a Ghanaian coach at this time,[at the back of two world cups is not making the players play well,we can play well,we know how to play well,we played well against brazil in Germany 2006,we were a better team against anybody we've ever played against in both world cups, its stoping the players from getting carried away when the whole world starts shouting Ghana,Ghana,Ghana only then i'll give him credit, right now I just feel like he is just doing what anybody else could have done or have done but got the sack anyway,in his case,he is not even there yet!

You made some sense but I completely disagree with you that anyone else could have done what Kwesi Appiah did. You have clearly lost sight of the fact that our tactical play in this game was totally spot on. Had the coach not come up with a suitable set up play and the right mix of personnel, we could easily have blown it. The credit of the result goes directly to the coach whether you like it or not. Skillful players alone do not beat good teams like Egypt 6-1. It takes a good combination of skillful players, proper tactical approach, a good bench and proper preparation to go to those heights. You are therefore wrong on the premise that anyone could have coached the Stars to get such a result. How come none of the foreign coaches was able to achieve such a feat?. Yes, Ghana should be winning African Cups and the like but I tell you what, winning has a lot to do with the coach in charge and his approach, to therefore attempt to distance our coach's obvious input from the team's success against Egypt is seriously off the mark.

As we continue to praise our coach and players for a good performance on Tuesday, the coach should begin to work on our defence. The Egyptians did not push much, but on the very few ocassions that they ventured upfront, our defence was in tatters. Let the coach begin working on that now. Again, this is the very first time, for many years, that I have seen the Black Stars abandoning their defensive play strategy. Ghana play well when we attack. We should not go back to those days again, otherwise, we will not be getting the results as happened on Tuesday. Our defence is suspect.

I think this particular game and the circumstances surrounding it demanded that we go looking for goals and at the same time make sure we did not leave the back door open. The team did just that to good measure. Yes, we need to pay some attention to our defensive play but then we should also not forget that we went into this game with our second choice defensive pairing. Looking at it from that perspective, we should be happy with our defense on the day.

Sumaila very hectic and wrong in position tackling(resulting f.e.in the Panelty), Inkoom not coming back in time(resulting f.e. in the foul coused by KASA).
In the attacking I think was Kwadwo Asamoah not excellent at the left winger.
Hope when Boye and Mensah returns, the defence will inprove. With the return of KPB, Ayew can move to the left wing, kwadwo behind Asamoah Gyan and KPB on the right wing. That will make our team very perfect.
