Polo this is not important. What is important is for us to get a replacement for Kevin. Is Polo going to help bring the new players to the level of Kevin's? Doesn't he has the ability and the skills to do that? What is stopping him from helping since he is a patriotic citizen?
We sit and point fingers and I know that if we couldn't beat Egypt, all the blame is going to be directed to Kevin. We keep talking about the unimportant things and keep forgetting about the important ones.
Here is what is not important which we keep talking about it. Kevin Prince Boateng is hurt and we said he is not hurt but faking. Can this argument help us at all? Can someone tells me how it is going to help us beat Egypt? What is our goal at the moment? Isn't our goal to win both legs of these coming two matches?
Now, here is what is important based on our goal.
The coach has already called two players to be included. How can these players fit into our squad? Where can these two players play, I mean in terms of positions, so that our goal could be achieved? Should they start the up-coming match or should come from the bench?
Let us debate on that instead of this KP issue. Whether the player has asked for permission or not, we don't even know. Polo, who also is a public figure, talking without giving any facts to back-up his case.
Remember, if Kevin doesn't want to come, it is his own choice. He is not afraid to tell the country he doesn't want to play for the national team anymore. He doesn't need the WC to boost his contract because he has already signed his contract with Schalke. Therefore, playing in the WC or not, doesn't make any difference. Therefore, why does he want to fake when it comes to qualifying matches but not the WC tournament?

KPB should come to Ghana and be assessed by the GFA medical team if he is really injured. To say that it is not important for us to discuss the status of an influential player on the team is not correct.
We have to know whether he is playing or not. If he is not playing, then we know how to set-up our team. If he is playing, then he should be available for the team and not pick and choose his matches. If he is injured, he should come and be assessed by the Ghana medical team. This is why we keep discussing him. Polo is correct. Polo never talked about KPB when KPB said he had retired. Polo is only talking about KPB because KPB said he is available, and we have all put our hopes on him and he keeps dodging us.
Yes, the other issues you mentioned are important as well, but the KPB saga is equally important.
As you said, if Kevin doesnt want to come, it is his choice, but Polo and a lot of other people in Ghana are also saying that if he decides he wants to come when it is world cup time, we should not accept him as he is taking us for a ride. I do not see why you think that this issue is a trivial one. We need to know what exactly we are doing so that we take the correct action when he turns up at world cup time. INFORMER, do you know what International Transfer Certificate, in short ITC, is? Does this document sound familiar and does it contain a player's injury history or not?
The point I'm trying to make it that ITC is issued after every player's contract. This is a document that records every injury a player obtains. It allows a player's new club to know somethings about the player including the player's medical history. To bid on a player or to consider in buying a player, this document is evaluated in order to put a price on the player. Therefore, whatever injury Kevin will report, it will be listed on his ITC report. If Kevin is faking, it will eventually affect his value. So why do you think a person with a common sense will do something that can hurt his value? Is he not playing for money?
Selling players, this is what clubs like Lyon base their decisions on the most. When you go on football transfer market site and click on Kevin's name, his everything will come out for you to read. Compare his value from the time he was injury-free to now. You will see the difference. Every player is aware of this fact.
Therefore, I don't think any of them would fake. That is all.

When you go back, you would read from my comments that I was against Kevin's inclusion. Even when he came back, I still wasn't satisfied because of his past decisions toward the national team. This time I'm backing him up because he got hurt and even specialists are talking about what he can do to stay fit till the end of the season.
If he is faking, don't you think it will go against him later on? This is why I'm not buying into that faking story.

Also note that it may be a slight injury that he can play through if the game really mattered to him. Most of the players you see are not 100% fit all the time, they all have little niggling injuries. Most of them play at 95 or even 90% fitness.
I am not saying KPB is not injured, but as Diamond said, the pattern is too much to be a coincidence.
Yes GFA said they would not chase him again, but HE got up and wrote a letter saying he is available, so of course, being a good player, GFA agreed to allow him to feature for Ghana. GFA did not say they had banned him, they only said they will not chase him again. So if they stopped chasing, but he came and said he wanted to play, they had every right to invite him.
When you also go back and read my comments, you will see that I was 50-50 for his inclusion. I did not like the fact that he was walking in and out of the team as he pleased, but I also acknowledged that he would be a good addition to our squad. However based on the evidence of what he has done since he announced his return, I am totally against his inclusion.

You know, Ern, I'm trying to understand both points but for the fact that I saw the whole incident with my eyes, it is difficult. That last one was what I didn't see but heard football specialist talking about it.
I didn't want him to be part of the squad to begin with. I was here arguing with Christopher Opoku's comments in his article of advocating on behalf of Kevin, which eventually they succeeded in bringing him into fold.

Therefore, the only solution is to close the books forever, because he is not reliable, injury or not, fake or genuine.

For the fact that the player is not available to play for his nation but is available to play for his club, doesn't mean he is faking. A stomachache doesn't alarm when approaching. It is the same way an old injury doesn't remind you of its reoccurring.
No one can close the forever on Kevin Prince Boateng without bringing in any evidence to do so. Remember, the national team is not for a particular person a decision could be made by that person and both Kwasi Appiah and Nyantekyi are not exempted. They can't do anything to the player. When Kevin is ready and wants to justify his inclusion, for the fact that he is one of us and in top form of this game, not even Polo can stop him from playing for his country.
Polo is just talking like we are doing here as you said. Therefore, for him to say the chance of the player to be cut-off is totally not going to hold.

Are both statements the same? We must sack him? Is the player hurt or not? Has Kevin asked to be allowed to come during WC games? Has Kevin been asked to come so that he could be evaluated? Why not? Is that Kevin's fault that GFA has not asked for that? Then why do we have to blame the player instead of the organization? Are we afraid of the GFA? You know EM, to me, we are pointing fingers on the wrong person in here. Didn't we ask Andrea Ayew to come for an assessment some time ago? Have you asked yourself why can't we do the same to Kevin? You are blaming the wrong person, pal.
For us to get the truths about this Kevin's saga, the pressure should be pile on GFA to bring any evidence that shows that the player is hurt and an excuse letter for treatment. This is the only way we could decide who is at fault and who is not.
Therefore, arguing about this issue wouldn't help us in any way. It will rather distract us from progressing. We need to focus on the main task ahead of us. That is the most important thing to do.

It is not about patriotism, it is really about someone who is injury prone so we should not be calling him. There are going to be many more foreign born players who will play for Ghana. The level of Ghanaian migration and integration will lead to this. We cannot get caught up in "how Ghanaian" is the person. I think we want to look at how capable the person is. In this case, I think KPB is not capable so we just need to move on. I think Appiah just called him to appease the public. Now that KPB has proven that he is not capable, Appiah is "off the hook". He can tell all his critics that he called KPB but KPB could not play. Now he can play Wakasso as the attacking midfielder like he wanted to in the first place.

The last time Kevin couldn't continue his club match, they were not leading two goals and he had to come out. Do you think his club, which has paid so much for this signature will allow that faking game to go on? In that match I was watching it life in here and saw everything with my naked eyes. You want me to side with Polo just even though, I haven't seen any truth of what he is saying? I'm sorry but it wouldn't be me.
Until anyone of you could come out with a single physical proof to says Kevin's action is otherwise, I will not move an inch. I try my best to advocate for the right cause and nothing more.

But if he cannot commit to the Black Stars by honouring his invitations then he should be dropped from the squad. He cannot pick and chose when to join th team with injury excuses. By being present doesn't mean he'll be forced to play. Kevin Boateng should show commitment else he doesn't need to be part of our WC-2014 plan for to Brazil.
