Talking about barbarism, bloody behaviours, terrorism and murder, Ghanaians are always at the fore front. Here are the reasons:
1. The acts of TERRORISM started in West Africa by Ghanaians as far back as 1950, with their 'METIMEHU' bomb throwing terrorism acts.
2.A Ghanainas citizen Asiedu, was amongst the Islamic terrorists that bombed London buses and underground stations here in London in 2005, lots of lives were lost.

Ghana has declared a state of emergency in a northern town after a tribal chief and around 25 of his guards were killed in factional clashes, police and witnesses reported on Wednesday.

The fighting, which began on Monday, is part of a long-running dispute over the traditional chieftaincy in Yendi, 50 miles north of the provincial capital Tamale.

An information ministry statement said that the tribal chief Yakubu Andani -- the Ya-Na or Paramount Chief of the Dagombas of northern Ghana -- and some of his associates had been killed during overnight fighting.

Private radio station Joy FM quoted witnesses in Yendi as saying that the Ya-Na had been beheaded and the bodies of him and around 25 of his bodyguards set on fire. His palace had also been destroyed, they added.

Police sources confirmed the estimates, but could not give definite casualty figures.

Police reinforcements and soldiers have been sent to the area to enforce a dawn-to-dusk curfew imposed on Monday, but witnesses in the town said sporadic shooting had continued even after they arrived and Yendi remained tense on Wednesday.

Local radio stations said many residents had fled the fighting.

The clashes came as Yendi's traditional fire festival, known as the Bugum festival, was due to start.

It is regarded as one of the West African country's most picturesque festivals, involving a night-time display of drumming, dancing and blazing torches believed to commemorate the search for the missing son of a previous Dagomba chief.

Nigerian politicians have exchanged punches after a splinter group from the governing People's Democratic Party (PDP) tried to address parliament.

The lower house had just reconvened after a seven-week break - during which the new PDP faction was formed.

But a BBC reporter says MPs loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan began shouting and jeering, which upset their rivals and scuffles broke out.

The new faction does not want President Jonathan to seek re-election in 2015.

He has not yet said whether he will stand but some of his allies, including his wife, have started campaigning for him.

The BBC's Ibrahim Isa says he saw one politician tear the shirt of another in chaotic scenes at Nigeria's House of Representatives in the capital, Abuja.

The brawl lasted for about 10 minutes with legislators hitting each other.

TV footage reportedly shows a female legislator poking her finger in the face of a colleague.

Another politician was seen grabbing a chair in an attempt to hit a fellow lawmaker, the AFP news agency reports.

The PDP has won every national election since the end of military rule in 1999, so the party's presidential candidate would be in a strong position to become Nigeria's next leader.

Mr Jonathan has been president since 2010, when his predecessor died in office and he was promoted from vice-president.

He beat off a challenge to become PDP candidate in the 2011 elections, which he won despite opposition claims of rigging.

In the first 15 minutes of the half time should there be no improvement then there should be 2 more changes to invigorate the team to go for a win.
