In Mazembe, yes Sinkala plays in the defensive midfield but in the national team, they have better midfielders than Sinkala. Expect Rainford Kalaba to be positioned between Chisamba Lungu and Francis Kasonde. For this one, I could bet my last cent on it. Upfront would contained Christopher Katonga, Jacob Mulenga, and Emmanuel Mayuka.

Each of them must stay in for the 90, unless we're ahead by at least 5 by 85.
We need to start the harvest (hopefully so) early, because the Bullets will be out of the gates with fire and brimstone, so our antidote should be to kill them off quickly.
Essien can come from the bench for the last 30, or even the last 15; he's not seen enough action since Madrid.

I was encouraged to read that Badu indicated that he would not mind playing as a sub.

Waow!!! Did you analyze what Christopher Opoku posted or you read it and went ahead and agreed to everything? Though the article is an opinionated one, it is publicly published and so needs to be analyzed to see whether the writer is good in the game or not. Don't forget, even thought it is his opinion, the writer is a sports analyst, and therefore, must know the game he daily analyzes.
I wouldn't say he is a 100% write because there are loop holes in his placement and the selection. For him to publish such an article, he should be evaluated as if he is the coach going into this match based on his article.
Now, reading from this article, the formation I came out with was 4-4-1-1. According to the article, Kwedwo Asamoah would be paired with the defensive midfielder, which in this case is Rabiu Mohammed, though, would move forward more than Rabiu when we have possession.
Hmmmm. This means, if Chris is the coach, he would placed Kwedwo Asamoah along ball winning midfielder, Rabiu Mohammed, and give him playmaker role.
My first question here is, with you witnessing the Black Stars for the past 9 months now, can Kwewdo Asamoah effective handle this position better than Wakaso Mubarak? I mean, Kwedwo Asamoah and Wakaso Mubarak which one of these players is more stronger, more creative, and tackles better than the other? Playing as a Deep Lying Playmaker, not only the player has to have the offensive mind to create chances for the attackers, but also has to have the defensive mind to help the Holding Midfielder to close in gaps and to shield the back 4 defenders. Second question, can Kwedwo Asamoah battle in the middle, not at the wing, with Kalaba, that skinny young Zanbian?
Here is a point to make and I'm sure you have seen this act severally. Kwedwo Asamoah falls easily in international matches more than in club matches. I'm not insinuating anything here, and since the match is a crucial one, I don't think most calls would favor us. We may need to think on all that.
Like I pointed out above, with this formation, Wakaso would be the one to play from the attacking mid, whilst Kwedwo Asamoah plays in the middle. I know this article is based on just one's opinion, analyzing it helps to know the writer's knowledge of the beautiful game we love so much. Kwedwo Asamoah does better playing from the left attacking mid instead. Here, Coach Christopher Opoku, to me, is either experimenting or wasn't aware of his placement of these two players.
Let us examine Kevin Prince Boateng's role based on the article. Kevin is to play in front of Kwedwo Asamoah and at the back of Asamoah Gyan, the main striker. Basically, 4-4-2 formation when attaching, if a coach opts to field a creative player in the "hole," as Christopher Opoku indicated, then the formation transforms into a 4-4-1-1. With this formation, whichever front two combination a coach chooses to field, the player who is not a big target man or a withdrawn creative player, is likely to be a goalscorer, with the nous to sniff out and score chances in and around the penalty area. In this role, Kevin is known to be one of the best. Therefore, one can say, it is perfect and fits the player's style of play. Good job, Chris.
I shall return

Brimah is in top form. We shouldn't be afraid to use him instead if Dauda is still warming the bench.
Right Full-Back, I will pick Essien over the young and inexperience defender Opare. To me, Daniel Opare would be too dangerous in that position against Zambia. Remember, for Daniel Opare to play the right full-back, he may battle with Emmanuel Mayuka, who is also a young player like Opare. Any least mistake from him in the 18 box would cost us big. Therefore, I would go with an experienced player like Essien. To me, Micheal though hasn't play for his club yet, he can still shut young Mayuka down with his experience in a heart beat.
Left full back, I do agree with Chris. Harrison Afful plays that position better than anyone of our defenders.
Centre half, I agree, Boye holds the key to this position at the moment. Unless he gives it out, no one can take it. As far as he keeps featuring for his club, it would be difficult for others to replace him.
Central Defence, I picked Awal instead of Jonathan Mensah because the season just began, and as the article mentioned, Jonathan sat almost the entire last season. He played only 6 matches. To me, I wouldn't start him. Mohammed Awal played more matches and still playing this year. Also Awal has a little height than Jonathan and as a defender, the height could play a major row in decision making. Both players read games well.
The rest, I'm all for it and will use 4-2-3-1 formation.
2. Essien, 4 John Boye, 5. Awal Muhammed, 3. Harrison Afful
8. Rabiu, 6. Wakasso
7. Ayew, 10. Boaten, 11. K. Asamoah
9. Asamoah Gyan (If only Fit)
At least, with the 4-2-3-1 formation(when in possession) it would allow us to open up the game by using the wingers, Andrea and Kwedwo Asamoah. Moreover, it would be easier to convert it to 4-5-1 when under attack. This will enable us to crowd the midfield on our opponent.
Since Zambia has nothing to loose, I'm seeing a 4-3-3 formation for them. Here are my predictions for the 3 midfielders and 3 attackers for them.
This will be a good game. I'm ready.

Agyeman Badu has NO PLACE in defensive midfield. His refusal to play in defensive midfield was what cost us against Zambia in the AFCON 2012. His refusal to play in defensive midfield cost us in the match against Zambia in Ndola. Again, his refusal to play in defensive midfield cause our loss in the 2013 AFCON. It was simply because he felt he should play in offensive midfield because Kevin-Prince Boateng was not in the camp. Surprisingly, Kwasi Appiah also made the mistake of allowing him to play in offensive midfield whilst Derek Boateng, a player with NO EXPERIENCE In defensive midfield was put in the defensive midfield. That was the cause of ALL our problems in the past two years. NOW, Rabiu Mohammed has taken up the defensive midfield role. A role that Agyeman Badu left. So it is Rabiu's position now. Until Rabiu is no longer in the team, Agyeman Badu will have to rub shoulders with Kevin-Prince Boateng and Dede Ayew and Kwadwo Asamoah for the 8 and 10 position. The 6 is taken. Abro....

Investigations at the chipolopolo camp have revealed that the zambian FA have employed the services of a white SA doctor to give the chipos doping substances to come and play like animals at the Baba Yara sports stadium on 6th sept. It is of no doubts that, this is the main reason behind their incomprehensible camping at SA. Their deeds have been unconvered and its about time GFA reacts quickly.

what i really lyk about dis line up is the michael essien part.even though hes got a lot of pontentials in the midfield, considering his situation naw he cant be a major starter in this match which i 100% agrees with u.

I agree with you only that I prefer Samuel Inkoom and the right full back, instead of Daniel Opare.
ur team is vevery good but inkoom will help than opare
Inkoom is lucky to be in the squad. He is nowhere near Opare so please don't start it.
If Kwesi Appiah doesn't want Ghana to play Zambia with 10 men then he should think carefully before selecting Opare.
Inkoom is a good player but he simply is not tough enough. At AFCON 2012 his lack of height and strength allowed Tunisia to equalize on a header. His weak clearance against Zambia led to their winning goal. Inkoom is reall ...
