Most commenters are right on this 'who has the big ego' thing. The fans do not know clearly the kind of relationship between management and the players. That is the problem! Otherwise, this should be very simple.

We should not be admitting players back who might sow seeds of discord on the team. Rather look for talents on the U-20 team. Besides, I will say it again: JORDAN AYEW IS NOT BLACK STAR MATERIAL YET! Maybe in the future. Now, he isn't!

I understand what you mean by doing the right thing and being consistent. The problem is that it is the very GFA that is the most inconsistent and flip flopper in everything. If what you are saying and comparing is true, then will they also be given the captian band like they did for Gyan when he returned? We were all told the captian band is about seniority. Muntari, Painstil, Annan are all senior to Gyan yet he was given the band. I have nothing against any of our players. They are always giving their best. It is our GFA that is corrupt and full of lairs. We were all told Muntari apologised and was forgiven by the coach. Yet we are now hearing he has not rendered apology. Please, never hold breath for this GFA. You may only end up killing yourself.

This allegation is so serious to warrant investigation by national authorities. If Ghana may stand to suffer any ugly fate due to unscrupulousness of individuals appointed to run affairs on behalf of the nation then it becomes a national obligation to investigate and act thereupon. Very often we hear about disgruntled employees at the ECG who, because of internal squables, vent their frustrations and anger by way of turning off power during important events such as national football games. Ghana's progress must not be left to hinge upon reckless behaviour of employees. We may stand to lose big times.

Don't mind the GFA, they are a ridiculous bunch of thin-skinned egotistical midgets. They are bent on humiliating the trio and not following any protocols. For all you know they are lying about applying same conditions to Asamoah Gyan. Whom are they fooling? Knowing we have not yet qualified for the WC, and the Black Stars lack any decisive punch or potent attacking or strong midfield presence, they would have hinted the trio last June when they indicated that they would be available. Why wait till this time? And the same goes for Essien . Look at how they regularly single Muntari out for humiliation and public ridicule and insults. They have an agenda to weaken the team by profiting with their subpar Team C players. They just want to play their subpar players in the hoping of selling them to teams in Congo, Tunisia or South Africa for their ten and fifteen per cents. What has stopped them from fielding our best which includes Essien, Quincy Abeyie, the 3 Ayew boys, Muntari, and KPB, plus a few others whom they are afraid to call. They want to keep the Adomas, Inkooms, Adiyias, Solomon Asantes, Kissi Boateng and all those third rate players they have been called calling.

Remember this is Ghanaians you are dealing with and just wait until they loose a match, especially critical match like against Zambia, and everyone will turn around to say we should have ignored the letter and called them, and you, Akwasi Appiah will be the first to loose your job. I believe strongly that a lot of effort has gone in to bring the GFA and the boys to this stage. GFA should have advised the boys right after the verbal agreement that they should write a letter to their clubs and the GFA cancelling your previous letter and making yourself available for selection. If the GFA did that, it would have been a different story now. I think there is too much ego here, and it is not helping anybody. Hopefully all is rosy all the way if not those who said Hosanna will soon turn around and say CRUCIFY HIM.

Just creating problems day in day out. We were eager to have the services of these players...now that they are ready...we are putting impediments on their way. What is all this nonsense about? I keep saying, woe betide GFA if we loose this match. Some of us, soccer is all we know, drink, eat, entertain. Should these minor administrative issues result in us missing the services of these players ans as a consequence miss the boat to Brazil....war...war....
Lets admit it , these players are of quality, including Asamoah Gyan, Sulley, Kwadwo Asamoah, Agyemang Badu, Essien. They are considered as the necleus of any positive minded Coach. You can not take it away from them . They are par excellence.
So, if any non-starter issues such as those I just read about are to be a stumbling block to get these guys back... then the Coach is as stupid as GFA is inept and lack ideas.
Argentina will not do this Messi... Brazil could not have done that to Kaka or Ronaldino, Portugal will abstain doing that to Christian Ro,Germany will not even think about that at all Ozil.
It is only in Ghana, we have this type of tribal soccer sentiments and that is gradually rearing its ugly head into the sports arena.

People forget that putting anything in writing means there's documentary evidence and an audit trail. Unless the by-laws and regulations of the GFA stipulate acceptance in such matters then it is fundamentally important that they write officially to the GFA to negate the previous letter. Otherwise technically they can still be considered out of the team. Also if any kind of legal issues arise pertaining to bonuses or law suits or anything, it can be a problem. If you had the presence of mind to write to declare your intent to leave then have same to declare your intent to return. This is extremely simple. Basic stuff.

I doubt if KPB will ever come back to play for the BS (I will be happy, though) but I know the Ayews are dying to come back. I admire the determination of Andre and enjoy watching him play. However, the coach should not invite him if he will not write a letter to rescind his decision. We need discipline, and only players who are willing to subject themselves to the authority of the coach should be invited and selected to play. Even if we do not qualify for the 2014 WC, there will be many more WCs. The BS need a firm structure to ensure consistency in performance.

Dear MRAA,
A fellow forumer had suggested a formal office practice on the issue of recalcitrant threesome-winsome players that have met my support.
And that is simple:
Instead of asking them to write a letter of concernt which may appear like coercing them, OOPS! retaliating their bluff, OOPS! showing them where power lies. Better still, insisting on them the notion of "No One player bigger than" when infact, these players are doing voluntary work/National Service that only compensate for or attract for mere bonuses as opposed to the millions they receive elsewhere.
I feel, just like my other forumer has said, the GFA ratherly, should send them an 'Obligatory note' requiring them to fill out the fine prints with meticulous 'behavioural' amidst disciplinary details, signed, sealed and delivered just for the records.
In that case, the players may have errorneously feel like the timely interventions, OOPS! the audience they sought with the President, the Asantehene and other sporting dignitaries were enough, better show of remorse than the mere letter of return by the GFA induced order.
Thatnotwithstanding, MRAA, if he has had his own way, would have assembled the best of men suited to bring honours to his new but offcolour national coaching debut. But couldn't
cuz he has become a puppet of the powers that be. Like a ceremonial head, he barely has controls.
For how sane does it make to succumb to "soccer politics" by leaving your good players behind insisting on an apology letter?
Is the 'return to international soccer' declaration made in public albeit all the media houses around the globe, the insults and the mixed reactions, the enuendos casted on their persons as well as on their families not enough to warrant unconditional re-entry into the GBS foray?
MRAA, Do you want to win for yourself?
MRAA, am one of your finest 'backbone support' for everything you seek to achieve being one of our own in this modern era. I spearheaded the 'walatu-walasa' project and it has become a success.
The days for the 'soccer mercenaries' like Mr N would say, " The Serbia Mafia" are over. Trust me.
Unfortunately, certain aspect of your professional ingredients makes me wonder whether you would proceed past 2014.
"Y3nfa nto woso, mma no nny3 hO"
Be the best that you are. Do not kowtow to anybody's whims and caprices.
In that, if for any reason, the GBS is prevented from entering Brazil, the axe, the 'kotokrodu' will fall on you heavily.
Therefore, avoid any external aggression nor any in-house interferences, period.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

What are the writings for?
Did Sulley Muntari, Essien, Asamoah Gyan etc wrote these writing before?
We have some very crucial mataches coming and yet the GFA is involved in petty politics
cha, I think the coach and GFA are on the right path. Asamoah Gyan did the same thing and that set the precedence. We must learn to do things right and consistently.
Most commenters are right on this 'who has the big ego' thing. The fans do not know clearly the kind of relationship between management and the players. That is the problem! Otherwise, this should be very simple.
There is a saying that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. The BS were doing well without these guyS. These players thought that when they left, the BS would 'crash and burn'. We didn't. We are in the 'drivers seat' again. ...

I think this makes a lot of sense. They are great players but things must be done in the right way. Coach Kwasi Appiah and the GFA are on the right path and I fully support that.
I do not know why this is being made to look so cumbersom. All GFA has to do is have a form letter stating clearly that - I Kwaku Mensah intend to return to official duties for Ghana. - Have them sign the letter and return to ...
