I like this Dede guy and his Dad because the skill and talent but differ from his statement.Donot get me wrong here,yes I like his statement and respect that because just making promises or being among the best is not enougth you need to win trophies to be the best but you only win the ultimate via discipline.Disciplne is very cardinal because the behavior displayed sometimes at the national level can never be displayed in any foreign team.Do that and you are out this you all know better.Just as one respected foreign coach said "there are some very skillful and talented players you just refuse to have them on your team because they are not coachable".Not because they are not good players yes they are but they are very hard to coach.This is food for thought.Just as selection to play in the national jersey no doubt you are a B/S material and your father was a maestro but let us face it your brother Jordan is a no no but you want to force a coach to get him on board or you will not play just think about this is that discipline?A coach and his tech.team can decide to change any best player at any day any time that does not mean you are not good but they might have their reason at that moment either they see that that day is not your day because every human has a bad day,may want to try others on the bench or they may want to change strategy etc.but there is no need to be angry and think you are better than everybody else because it is team sport.Everybody know you and your Dad to be great so what is your problem?I have seen several greats such as Drogba,Roonney,Beckenbauer,Samuel Kuffuor,Asamoah Gyan,Steve Appiah etc.changed during games before so if you really love a team you should be even happy and give your support to the tech.team to use whatever method they deem fit at a moment to bring laurels because in todays world you can not duel on past glories because all nations are moving forward and so nobody can celebrate until everything is over.Thanks.

Talking, we all can talk, but doing the job involves a lot of qualities which DISCIPLINE can't be ruled out. This quality is also one of the qualities the Ayews, with the exception of Rahim, lack.

Winning anything doesn't come with only skills. One has to be ready to go to work when the country calls whether a biological or a bi-law-gi-cal brother is going with him or not.

If Dede is aiming in winning anything, he would have reported at camp when even extra days were given to him alone to report to camp.

Yes, what he is saying is so true. However, has he been doing what is important winning trophies, which is an act of discipline, toward that goal? I don't think so. What can one with without discipline, Godfather? Dede and Jordan tend to be problem children when the word discipline comes in mind.

Therefore, he, Dede, needs to start looking at himself before calling for any fixing in the team. If he can only do his part, the trophy will soon follow. It is sad to see the same character that didn't help a father in a son. When it comes to that then it seems as they didn't learn anything from the father's mistakes. I'm saying this because, Abedi Pele, I'm not trying to put him down but was something he demonstrated during his era, couldn't discipline himself and that ended us trophy-less from the time he captained till the time he retired.

Just look back at the players we had at that time. There was no way we couldn't have won something with those squads. What caused that and who was the leader then?

They did not start off well but they did well to reach semi finals which they should have beaten France to reach the finals and then take the cup but they failed to make use of their chances. France on the other hand made good use of their chance and so won the game Ghana should have won. Ghana messed with the chances that came their way and ended up losing the game. Kofi watch the second half of the game and please stop bashing Dede. Take the world cup for instance, why did the Blackstars failed to reach the semi finals when they had penalty to score but could not convert it and ended up losing the game. There are a few more intances like these so Kofi call a spade aspade and stop criticising Dede who has always given his best.

The players playing outside Ghana, especially in Europe, having tasted the best of everything football, do not see eye and eye with the fumbling local managers. The local managers on the other hand, envy them and will waste no time in destroying them when they speak up. Meanwhile, the local management continues to throw dust in the eyes of the football lovers in Ghana with untruths that ends up pitching the supporters against the foreign players. Ghana ends up winning nothing and the local managers get away to pocket the spoils each time...

Dont get me wrong, if there is a Team that should have won at least 4 AFCON cups since after 1982, that team should have been the black stars. One reason why Ghana is not doing so well is due to complacency, over-confidence and attitude of an average Ghanaian supporter. A suggestion or a constructive criticism from non Ghanaians is greeted with insulst and questions like' how many trophies have your country won', 'you are a son of a prostitute' or 'your parents are criminals' etc. Even before the Blackstars kick the ball, an average Ghanain says Ghana will win by 5-0, forgetting that nations like zambia, Burkina,Senegal etc have a good chance of defeating anything on the continent , including Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon etc.Please forget about the so called under 17 and under 20 competitions because they are nothing. If the under 20 competition was meaningful, Ghana would have won the world cup. Ghana has only been to two world cup in 57 years and getting to the quarter final is no big deal and is not same thing as winning the cup.what dede has said is that 32 years without a trophy is not good enough for the Black stars.A solution should be quickly found.This is not the time to abuse anybody as dede offered a constructive criticism.

Winning trophy is everything a player should shoot for. If you play hard but don't win a thing, it doesn't count. So I think Dede is right that the focus should be on winning trophies, period.
