Armah Pulls out of Title Fight

Liverpool's David Burke will now face Gary Hibbert of Oldham for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title at the Everton Park Sports Centre tomorrow night.

Burke was originally set to face James Armah, but the Ghanaian withdrew last weekend due to injury.

Mandatory challenger Michael Muiya was then put up for the bout, but the Kenyan fighter was unable to obtain a visa.

In an emergency meeting, the Commonwealth Boxing Council approved Hibbert, who had been due to box on the undercard, as the new opponent for Burke.

Burke told www.skysports.com: "It's going to be a tough fight, but my preparation has been first class.

"I'm determined to put on a good show for my fans, in the crowd and at home."
