2. The MRI tests done on players is not exactly 100 percent; there is always a standard deviation. The fact th ...

There are one or two reasons for this mauling.
1. We did not cheat and sent under 17 players to the tournament.
2. The MRI tests done on players is not exactly 100 percent; there is always a standard deviation. The fact that some teams players had to be sent home attests to this and it is possible many of the over aged players still fell within the standard deviation. Give them a few more months and they would actually be caught by the machine. So it is possible our boys actually played against over-aged players; that being the case were out-muscled by their senior brothers.
3. Our selection of players for such age competitions was flawed. I believe we never really selected the best. The influence of politicians, businessmen, chiefs etc plays a part. So with all your talent if none of these bring you forward, you would stay in your village and rot.
Having said this I wish Nigeria all the best and may they annex this trophy and go to the world and do same.

The boys have been together for about 12 months, played over 35 matches together etc. They are the future Super Eagles whether they win the junior Afcon or not. The Starlets were not in the game at all and the score could have been 12-1. I beleive the startlets can still qualify as well. For the first time, our FA fully supported a national Team of our country .kudos
