What do you all think they will say if Ghana beats the US. Polo's arguement is even very porous. He stated that the current uder 20 stars will not be Black Star materials like Dede Ayew, Agyemang Badu and co, players who won the under 20 cup for Ghana simply because most of the current under 20 players ply their trade in the Ghana's premier league. My question to Mohammed Polo is this: Were some of the players from the under 20 side that won the cup not playing in the premier league before being drafted into the under 20 team? Where was Adiyiah playing before, and is Agyemang Badu not an old Kotoko player? Fact of the matter is: Some players enter the Ghanaian premeir league at an early age. I remember Abedi Pele playing for the Black Stars in a game against Congo when he was only 16 years old. But of course being a great soccer player does not translate into being a wise person.

The problem is that, Ghana is doing the same thing other African teams are doing, using overage players to compete in these tournaments but we might have problems when we go to the under 20 world cup competition.

Age cheating retards development of our players and should be shunned.

Takyi Arhin is talking nonsense Polo has a point by claiming that most of the players were over-aged and lacked the quality to progress to the Black Stars. What evidence does this inward looking Takyi Arhin need. How many of 2009 U-20 World Cup winner are playing in the current Black Star. 2009 top scorer Dominic Adiyiah is no where to be found compare that to 2005 top scorer Lionel Andrés Messi and 2003 Edward Johnson. We need to get our house in order and stop these nonsense of put our head in the sand.

The fact that you had an exceptional case of a 15 year old playing for BA United (I doubt that anyway and if he was serious about his assertion why didn't he give us the name of the player) does not hold water. How many 20 year old Ghanaians even have the pangs to play any serious soccer much more play in the Premier division. Massa, give us a break!!!!
