I have been an advocate of Ghana black stars being bigger than any individual player. Hence the need for the coach to continue to work and rely on players willing to sacrifice for the team and Ghana.
But all emotions aside, I would prefer the national team to tap all potential resources to represent Ghana at the world cup. However, I would hate to see the coach or Ghana beg any individual to play for the motherland. But if a player once denied the chance to represent Ghana due to some internal rift but now want to knock on the doors with humility, such player must be given the chance to play. So long as he is willing to be discipline and also accept coach decision as good for the team but not personal sentiments.

Exactly! A poor African managing young millionaires some of whom were born and raised in rich European countries and are playing for top European teams, do you not think that is the reason why some players want to "walk over him" and even the locals doubting his ability to lead the team? I'm a black man and I am not inferior to any one else and any disrespect to the coach because of who he is and his background is unacceptable to me because it is also an insult to me. Yes! we need all our best players but they must be prepared to play by the rules and not cross the line drawn by AA in the sand.

Kwesin Appiah don't still get it. The win was great; we congratulate him for a good job on this one occasion but he should learn to understand why he is being critised. Those critisms probably even forced him to act a bit better in the case of the Sudan match. Fact is that he has made some terrible decisions in the past and has not shown that he has the technical ability and charisma to be coach of the Black Stars.
Sudan on this occasion performed poorly. Too early for big-talk, coach.

What decisions has he made that you call terrible? Is it not calling the Ayew brothers? Well, he called them, but they said they have retired. What again do you want him to do?
He took us to the semi-finals of the African cup. We have not won the African cup since 1982. So why do you think he is worse than any of the coaches we have had since 1982? Which one of those coaches since 1982 has more technical ability than Kwesi Appiah, and what did they achieve with it? Also, what makes you think that the next coach we choose will be the one to win Ghana a cup when we have not managed to choose such a coach since 1982?
Efua, do not let a personal dislike for a person's tribe detract from facts.

Essien is a shadow of his former self. We have so many good midfielders. I wonder how much improvement Essien will bring. Maybe 5-10%. It's not worth it if the player does not want to come and therefore will not play with his heart.
KPB - yes, he will make a big difference. Especially if he combines with Emmanuel Frimpong to make play transition quicker from defense into attack. But again, if he will not play with his heart, he will not be effective, and it would be better if he stays at his club doing what he wants to do.

Writers and contributors here should stop putting here, Ghana performed poorly at the end of the Africa Cup of Nations for placing 4th. Africa is of 54 nations and for Ghana to be among the first 4 in football should be seen as huge and creditable achievement. Where did the defending champions, Zambia, placed?
We should learn to respect and admire the little things that comes our way to recognize our heroes and give the full backing to the home brewed coach, the noble gentleman Akwasi Appiah and his technical team to bring us the joy in football which is our only way of national unity as the criminally "woyomenized" politicians tribally divide the people country for their selfish greedy material ego.

God be your guidance.
