I would not want to address Coach Appiah as "stupid" but below expectation. His sense of technical ability of game planning has proven to be unsuccessful. His tactical "lone striker" game play is wrong for Black Stars. He fails to use players dutifully at the right positions, and he fails to read each game and prescribe the right changes for winning results.
Coach Appiah blames his failures on some players. Had he understood the use of potential players at the right positions and substitute the right players when necessary, I think we have good players to win the Nations Cup. I am afraid Coach Appiah has a lot to correct. I doubt he could make the right amends during this crucial World Cup qualifications. His ability is under par.
You see Tuga, I respect the Coach as a person, but I am critical of his job performance. It is uncalled for to insult anyone on this forum. You more than probably cannot do his job; it does not call for insulting him in any way. Learn to criticize positively.

I elaborated in my comments that Coach Kwasi Appiah uses players ineffectively, and does not understand the technicality of game planning. Does that sing praises to Kwasi Appiah?

I thank you dearly for reading through the lines. I have spoken against tribalism all my life. I speak Ga, Ewe, Fanti and German, all fluently. I am a man who understand that ethnic affiliation alone does not guarantee one to be wise. I spoke directly to some NPP officials I knew that NDC has proven to be a true cross section representative of Ghana (I do not support any particular political party in Ghana. I find they are all corrupt). There are all sorts of ethnic representation in NDC leadership, Gas, Ewes, Ashantis, Brongs, Northerners, etc. Unlike NPP who seem to preserve their Leadership roles only to Ashati/Akim.

I have met some Ashantis who do not reason with intelligence, so have I met some Ga people who are fools and likewise interacted with some Ewes who are very kind and loving. I believe we are all Ghanaians; and strongly believe foolishness and wisdom is within each ethnic group, so is wealth and poverty. Being a native of Kwahu (my father's tribe), does not make every Kwahu a trading enthusiastic.

Only if we find wisdom and judge every individual by their own merit, and elect qualified political leaders rather than electing leaders based on ethnic affiliation, we can never feed ourselves as people and move up to educate our youth and progress as people.

My father's name is Kofi Appiah. By that I find no wisdom to sing praises to Coach Kwasi Appiah if he is not doing well expected of him as the Head Coach of Ghana Black Stars Football team. I will vote against him at this time considering his job performance I have observed. For anyone to jump and accused me of tribalism is simply foolish.

Thanks for your patriotism. I am afraid Technical Staff and GFA lacks the political know-how to handle players like Prince, the Ayew's and Essien's.
I think Coach Appiah should have contact the Ayew's and "discuss" his vision on issues and made them fully understand reasons why they are being dropped, rather than the player learning his fate on Facebook or from the news.
Also, players like Prince has a different attitude. Because he is not a typical African, just as my children born outside Ghana does not act as typical Africans. They do not find amusement in matters that amuse me. These children need to be handled not by enforcing rules, but reason with them by discussing expectations with them. The more you enforce rules on these our "made in abroad" children, the more rebellion some behave. We do not punish our "made in abroad" children by the whip of the belt, but by reasoning with them and punishment of loosing privileges. Do GFA understand what I mean here?
GFA needs to understand how to work with people with different backgrounds.

Further and lastly, somebody like Essien has worked hard as Black Stars player for years. Yet, it appears all his predicaments occurred during Black Stars assignments. I believe he feels he must protect himself for the good of his carrier. Professional soccer nowadays is money business than we knew the game two decades ago. I believe Essien would love to continue play for B.Stars, but how does the GFA help to assure him of his carrier protection? Rather, the GFA officials are laundering millions of dollars in wrong pockets rather than address real issues that affects and assures players safety net.
Let's not forget that, playing for Ghana is incomparable to signing up for the Ghana Army when people signs up to get paid and potentially die for Ghana.

Players wishes to play for Ghana, first to prove and to promote themselves, but not to get hurt and ruin their future carrier.

Finally, to make us "cheer", I believe we can win tournaments with the talented players we have if the Coach understands how to use players effectively and make the right substitution as games progress. So far he's unable to do that effectively. Midfielders are made to play defense, we play a lone striker games which fails to produce more goals, and strikers are not substituted right so and effectively.

I do not believe God have time to play football. Further I believe in the theory that God helps those who help themselves.
I want Ghana to win a World Cup so dearly. The last time Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty kick against Uruguay, my wife rushed to hold me up thinking I was having heart attack. I was down and disappointed that I settled to nourish my grieve by 4 hots of Hennessy to settle my nerves. I love to see Ghana win. But we need to seek deep wisdom to appoint competent technical staff that are hungry to win for our nation.

Hoping in God alone cannot help us win any silverware. We must prepare hard, be determined and nourish our dedicated players.

I am afraid our priority is to change Coach Appiah. The performance he has demonstrated cannot win us any championship. Coach Appiah fails to diagnose games as it progresses and substitute effective changes. His game strategy of "lone striker" does not and will not produce goals to win against any organized opponents.

I do not favor foreign Coach, I believe Ghana have all the talents to be champions, it requires a better knowledgeable determined Technical Staff. I gave up on Kwasi Appiah. Sorry.
