Medeama hold Liberty in four-goal thriller

Visiting Medeama SC came from behind to hold Liberty Professionals to a 2-2 draw in their Week 28 Glo Premiership clash on Sunday at the Sly Tetteh Stadium, Dansoman, Accra.

Liberty took a 2-0 lead before conceding to the visitors determination to draw even and cement their chances of finishing amongst the top four.

The hosts shot into the lead on three minutes through Kennedy Ashia whose superb shot beat Medeama goalie Muntari Tagoe.

On 17 minutes, Latif Salifu doubled the lead for the 'Scientific Soocer' lads to give his side a two-goal lead and to give a strong indication of their thirst for the maximum points.

Medeama however seemed undeterred as they took up the challenge and reduced the deficit though Kassim Adams on 32 minutes, who connected home from close range.

The visitors returned on purpose in the second half but the Liberty defence of Atta Kusi, David Addo and Tuffuor Frimpong kept especially Louis Agyemang at bay.

Medeama pushed further and it came as no surprise when Agyemang snatched the much-needed equalizer seven minutes from time.

Both clubs pushed more men forward in their quest for the three points, but the winner remained elusive till the final whistle.**
