Mr. Minister, announcing new solutions without confronting past failures or holding responsible parties accountable will not resolve the underlying problems. Without a clear and credible reckoning, reform risks becoming another temporary response—one that leaves the same weaknesses intact and allows the cycle to continue.
That reckoning must begin with the GFA’s governance structure. Association leaders should not simultaneously hold direct interests in clubs, because doing so creates an obvious and unacceptable risk of conflicts of interest—particularly in connection with allegations involving club interests and the selection of Black Stars players. Whether or not every allegation is substantiated, the system must be designed to prevent both undue influence and the appearan
Accountability must also extend beyond coaches, who cannot continue to bear primary responsibility while those who shape the broader system remain beyond scrutiny. Nor should it end with the current administration. If past failures are to be prevented from recurring, meaningful and lasting change must begin at the top through leadership reform, followed by a comprehensive restructuring of the GFA’s governance framework. These are not optional measures or cosmetic adjustments; they are essential conditions for restoring public confidence and protecting the integrity of Ghanaian football. Without them, calls for improvement will remain rhetorical, and the underlying crisis will persist.

The ineptitude of our FA is slowly eroding the great gains of our hard working government. The embarrassment is too much. We are wasting taxpayers money to pay a foreign coach every local Ghanaian coach can do better than what he is doing. The best way out is that the government should step in, dissolve the GFA( FIFA may sanction us but that is alright). The government should then appoint ex-footballers with administrative/management acumen to supervise the rebuilding of Ghana soccer with active restructuring of Colts soccer in all cities in the country. Then develop under 17, 20, and 23 soccer. We then need equity audit team to access performance for recommendations. Let's give ourselves 3 to 5 years and we will be fine again. This will even create stronger confidence in government to win the next elections. The current FA should also be thoroughly audited and be prosecuted if found guilty to serve as a check to others. God bless our Homeland Ghana and raise visionary and exceptional leaders.

Restructuring of the local league and the dissolution of the referee's appointment committee as well as the managements of the local leagues would be better for us to have a very fortified Black Stars team. The corruption in the local league is too alarming. Team owners are spending huge sums of monies to build their teams but the mafias in the running of the various leagues, don't allow the well-deserved teams to win their matches, culminating to the downfall of our teams in continental football. This must stop, other than that, our football will never get to where it is supposed to be.
