Ghanaian musician King Promise has disclosed that footballers Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi are willing to play for the Black Stars if given the opportunity.

The Award-winning artiste explained that the two players are his friends, and through occasional engagements, both have reiterated their commitment to representing the national team.

Speaking in an interview with Sporty FM, King Promise further revealed that he has discussed their interest with Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku and hopes the necessary processes will be completed soon.

“A couple of the guys who play, I was on them to play for Ghana. Yeah, but obviously I’m not going to talk about it. But yeah, I’ve told Callum several times, and whenever we had a conversation, he was actually open to it. I spoke to the GFA boss about it before, and I know, I think they’re in talks. Hopefully it works out.

"Same thing with Eddie Nketiah. I told him, bro, obviously he got injured at the end, but trust me, anybody who is Ghanaian that I know, I encourage them. He was open to playing for Ghana. That’s all that matters to me, whether it’s tomorrow or next year,” he said.

Meanwhile, the two Ghanaian international footballers were widely discussed ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but ultimately did not feature in the tournament, a development that drew mixed reactions from the public.
