Berekum Chelsea have completed the signing of former Karela United and Medeama SC forward Diawisie Taylor on a permanent deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 24-year-old striker returns to Ghana after a spell in Egypt with Modern Future FC, which included a loan stint at Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh. Taylor is a familiar name to Ghana Premier League fans, having won the top scorer award in the 2020-21 season with 18 goals in 31 appearances for Karela United.
Taylor previously had a brief stint with Medeama SC, joining in January 2024, but his move to Berekum Chelsea marks a homecoming of sorts.
The deal is a statement of intent from Berekum Chelsea as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. Taylor's proven goal-scoring record in the Ghanaian top flight, where he has scored 23 goals in 52 appearances, will be a major boost.
Sources indicate that Taylor has committed his future to the club as they prepare for the 2026/27 campaign.
