Yan Diomande’s proposed move to Real Madrid is reportedly in danger of collapsing after his former representatives escalated a dispute over the player’s agency rights to FIFA.

The RB Leipzig winger had been expected to complete a blockbuster switch to the Spanish giants, with reports indicating that Real Madrid had reached an agreement with Roc Nation over his representation.

However, the deal has been thrown into uncertainty after Maxidel Management, the agency led by former Ivory Coast international Max Gradel, lodged a complaint with FIFA.

According to reports from Spanish media outlets AS and Defensa Central, Maxidel claims it still has contractual rights over Diomande’s representation.

The agency was involved in the player’s move to Leipzig and reportedly maintains that its agreement with the Ivorian remains valid.

The dispute has reportedly left Real Madrid concerned about proceeding with the transfer before the representation issue is resolved.

Ivorian journalist Malick Traore reported that Real Madrid are unhappy with Roc Nation after allegedly discovering that Diomande had an existing agreement with another agency.

The issue could now force the Spanish club to wait for FIFA’s position before formally completing the transfer.

Any uncertainty surrounding the player’s representation could also complicate registration and the payment of agent commissions.

Adding to Real Madrid’s problems, Leipzig are reportedly demanding more than €100 million for the highly-rated attacker and remain unwilling to lower their valuation.

With the transfer already facing financial and legal complications, Diomande’s dream move to Madrid now hangs in the balance.

Real Madrid are expected to seek clarity on the FIFA complaint before deciding whether to push ahead with the deal or explore other options.
