Former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has expressed strong belief in the Black Stars’ chances ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Kwesi Nyantakyi insisted Ghana should never be underestimated on the international stage.

Speaking in an interview with Original TV/FM, Nyantakyi backed the national team to make a strong impact at the tournament despite growing scrutiny surrounding the squad.

“Never write Ghana off when it comes to tournaments, and the World Cup will not be an exception,” he stated.

The former GFA boss pointed to Ghana’s rich history at FIFA World Cup tournaments, highlighting the Black Stars’ reputation for resilience and competitiveness whenever they compete on the global stage.

Nyantakyi also urged supporters and football analysts to maintain confidence in the team, stressing that Ghana has consistently proven capable of rising to the occasion during major international competitions.
