The Nigerian president must also reward the lawyers who are fighting to take the world cup spot from DRC for Nigeria - this would encourage them (the lawyers) to fight harder. The fight is not over ooo, Nigeria can still win the case even after the world cup final is played. In fact Nigeria can still win the world cup after the world cup is over when they eventually win their case against DRC even if DRC do not go all the way to the final. All they would have to do is sit down and work this out: which teams qualify from the DRC group, and which teams beat the teams that qualify from the DRC group, and so on and so forth all the way to the eventual winner. Come Naja!

Hahaha, I know you are getting your vibes from the Morocco/Senegal situation, and I agree 100% with you - Nigeria can still win this world cup, hahaha.

THINK DEEP, I strongly believe you have a point there. A country struggling at the hands of colonizers like France. For the unity alone, they somehow deserve it.

Many Congolese citizens including footballers in Europe and the diaspora have decided not to come back home bcoz of what Belgium & France have done to their brains. Recently Lukaku was fighting his father's family members when his Dad died. The family wanted the man to be buried in his village, but bcoz of the tainted history lesson that Lukaku was taught in Brussels he's refusing to step foot in Congo DR. Activities like the World Cups are the only thing that can bring them home Like Ghana, Congo DR needs the diaspora with their improved knowledge to develop their country.

Nana Kwaku, excellent write up. But you and I know how our politicians behave. They feel very threatened by their citizens in the diaspora. They feel intimidated by their profound knowledge about governance, etc.

We can't continue comparing apples and oranges. In Europe and other developed nations sports men & women are picked at very young ages..They develop their skills with education for that reason when they become professionals, the state don't reward them when they bring success to the nation. How many African countries take the education of their young athletes serious, such thst they can easily continue their education when they fail in their profession. Take Japan & South Korea for e.g. 80% of their footballers are Degree holders. It used to be the same in the former Soviet Union.

I'm very happy that my country would be at the worldcup. DR Congo was the third African country to be at the worldcup before Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun or even Senegal.
Allez les Léopards! On va gagner cet été.
