• Even in top leagues, many starting keepers are between 5′8″–5′10″, not monsters guarding a 24-ft wide goal.
• A 6′1″–6′2″ keeper in women’s football is extremely rare and more the exception than the rule—not a baseline.
So saying “find a 6-ft GK” after a match like we’re drafting NBA centers? That’s comic relief, not football analysis.
• Current Ghana women’s team goalkeepers: 1.78 m (~5′10″), 1.68 m (~5′6″), and 1.60 m (~5′3″). None are anywhere near 6′ tall.
