  He kicked it to score and humiliate Mende because he expected him to have dived out of the way! If one kicks a penalty and a goalie holds his ground things get dicey for the kicker!!

  It was not intentional. He tried to embarrass the goal keeper and if he had scored it would have been very nice just like Hakimi’s Panenka over Spain. He chose that option but he definitely intended to score. People are also asking why the Senegal players did not celebrate much? Let me explain… they had already ACCEPTED the outcome when they returned. They left the pitch because they BELIEVED that if Morocco takes the penalty Morocco will score! and to them the proceedings has been unfair. When they returned, they had returned with a mindset to ACCEPT the loss as a likely outcome! When Morocco missed the penalty, perhaps, out of Diaz’s over-confidence, arrogance, or to use a new-age term “aura-farming” with a Panenka, perhaps to prove his pedigree and humiliate Senegal, the failure was an embarrassing outcome to Morocco and contrastingly a Shocking outcome to Senegal. Shock does not permit Senegal to celebrate, not even a nice shock will allow that, only an element of surprise, a smile and thank you God from the reactions of Mendy and also the Senegalese coach, Pape Thiaw.

  Is Brahim Diaz a Sengalese? Or has he got root in Senegal? The answer is capital NO. You know what? That is the law of karma. Morocco, as well as the officiating officials and CAF itself were burnt on making sure that Morocco wins the championship. But all these nefarious and negative propaganda failed because karma was present. Diaz was overwhelmed, and so he was overshadowed by karma. CAF have disgraced themselves and Morocco has been taught the simple lesson that, the game of football can never be won by influencing the game officials, but rather winning in a fair competition.
