This was not football. This was savage lawlessness.
A female referee brutally assaulted —for simply doing her job?. This is a cowardly, disgraceful act that drags the sport into the gutter and exposes a frightening collapse of discipline and security.
Worse still, the injured referee—crying and writhing in pain—was treated with sachet water and a dirty rag by gloveless hands, as per the footage. No medical care. No dignity. Just shocking neglect.
This is violence, not passion. Criminality, not competition.
Those responsible must face arrest, prosecution, and lifetime bans. Any official who failed in their duty must also answer.
An attack on a referee is an attack on the game itself.
This shameful episode deserves total condemnation and zero tolerance.

Their voices are urgently needed to call for swift justice, the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators, and stronger protection for match officials. Silence is not an option. High-profile female leadership must stand up now to say clearly: violence against women in football will not be tolerated.

This is shameful and unacceptable!!! Was there no security to protect officials?? Such centres should be banned from hosting any matches. Let them travel to Accra to watch matches.
