  When Gyan was playing, he was peppered with insults. Now he is their hero. Meanwhile Jordan scored 7 goals and 7 assists. He is not good enough until he retires. Djiku and Salisu are scoring goals, proof that the striker is not the only player ordained to score goals. The good news is most of the forwards and midfielders can score goals.

  Lazy coaches,Gyan was groomed by JE Sarppong and the great Atoquefio. We don’t respect our local boys at all, let us pick 10 strikers from the inter schools,10 from the division 1 league and 10 from the premier league and teach them how to strike in both theory and practice for 1 month and see if we can not get 2 great strikers b4 this World Cup, Gyan, Yegoala, Drogba and Eto can all be used to train and mold them b4 the World Cup which is 6months away.

  We must search and prepare for a world class striker. Asamoah did his best but he wasn't a deadly striker like Etoo, Drogba, Adebayo, Yeah, etc. Asamoah had perhaps the best midfield in Ghana's history in Appiah, Essen, Muntari & Laryea and therefore many chances were created for him. If he had a good conversion rate his tally would have far exceeded the 50/51 goals he scored for Ghana. We must lift the standards as the years wear on and Asamoah should not be our yardstick. We must be grateful and look beyond
