Tony Kweku, my tae kwon do instructor used to tell me in a tournament to only direct my kicks to the head of the opponent; that way if you miss, you might get the torso! I do not believe that Ghana is only good for some 'medal of some sort' like you said. The way you put it, we should count our athletes lucky for making the finals, right? Most of the time, 4 x 100 is won not by the fastest team on paper. It is won by the most efficient (in baton-changing). Maybe, today it was because of our lane (lane 2 where we only had lane 3 traffic to worry about). All things being equal, if our efficiency is replicate, we are going for the Gold (whether you like or not, because every country is going out there for the Gold).

If the USA brings in Noah Nyles and Bednarek for the final, they'll be favorites for the gold. With Jamaica out, Ghana has good shot at silver. They just shouldn't drop the baton.
