He's talking about Christian baptism where the purpose of the act is symbolic of the person's death (being submerged in water- death of the old man along with his desires and ambitions etc), and resurrection with Jesus Christ (emerging from the water as a new man with new life in Jesus Christ). It's also an announcement to the whole universe that just as Christ defeated death, you too have defeated death by identifying yourself with him, so death will not be your end, you look forward to the resurrection.

Hindus, Buddhists and other unbelievers, who worship false gods, can decide to give their lives to Jesus and they too will have an experience with him. However, no one is being forced to give their lives to Christ, they have freewill just as you do. Don't be upset with God if you choose to not give your life to Christ.

Sinful nature, does not make you sin, you always have a choice to either do what is right or wrong. In reality, you cannot live a life obedient to God without the help of the Holy Spirit, that is why everyone is called to repent and believe in Jesus Christ to become born again.

Baptism is identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, that is why the person being baptized is submerged under water to mark the death and burial of Christ, and emerges out of the water to mark the being resurrected together with Christ. Yes it is symbolic meaning that the believer, through Christ has victory over death, sin and the flesh. However in practicality, Romans 12:2 tells us to present our bodies daily before the Lord as a living sacrifice, so just because you have been baptized does not mean you will stop desiring sin, or you will stop sinning, but after that you still will have to live in the discipline of Gods word and yield to the Holy Spirit to live a life that is pure and holy before the LOrd!!! Let everyone say AMEN!!!
