Suddenly, I get a call saying he passed. I couldn't believe it. I was texting this guy a few days ago..his death was very strange to all of us. He asked to be cremated..I couldn't go to the funeral. I just couldn't explain it but I simply couldn't. A part of me wouldn't accept that he was just gone. This is what Ronaldo is probably dealing with..a part of him hasn't accepted the fact that Jota is gone ..it happens when you are very very close with the guy

With Ronaldo’s personality it was okay to have missed the funeral because the media would have shifted attention to him rather than the actual event, what Ronaldo did was respectful and thoughtful
