You can not go to a tournament without focuing winning the tournament. Then why being such a coach for short focus on their tournament. ( Thus the coach focused was to reach a semi- final and qualify for the world cup.)
When such focus is his entire goal in preparation then he will defiantly wouldn't make it past the target.

2. Lack of understanding tournament games.Tournoment games are won mostly with defensive approach in mindset.
Watch Italy and the world cup they won recently. Solid goal keeping and though drilled defence with 4:5: 1 formation.
Why did the coach play 3 4 2 1 instead of 4 5 1?
The coach was aware he doesn't have the sharp strikers, he
Knew he doesn't have sharp shooters or deadly strikers so why didn't he stick to a more defensive approach? If could have contained the Egyptians who hard a well drilled practice to score early and entices home

Very easy to get a yellow card because he was frustrated and made he a force error to accumulate a second card. Poor thinking by the coach Ofeh. The should have been substituted and with any player with a yellow card on the field at that dying monument. He should have come out at 95 minutes to have save him just in case the team qualify and to any player at that point with a yellow card.
