Why don't you share your opinion without the insult? It may surprise you that he is making ten times the amount he had at Hearts. That aside, more often than not, he may not have much "connections" and therefore accept any offer that would improve his life. Some local players retire miserably. You may not be aware how much some players are paid monthly; sometimes several months in arrears. I know a young lady who contracted to play a mini league/tournament in Vietnam or so for three months. She made more money in the three months than the full years salary for most premier league players.
